"Deck the halls with drums of lolly, pararararam parararam" I hummed under my breath, stopping to giggle, and then continuing sweeping the living room.
It was one of those days where I woke up feeling so productive, hardworking, and responsible.
Jasmine was away at 'work', supposedly sorting through emails, files, tons of paperwork, and probably shagging Damien.
Mikey called earlier, saying he was gonna come over and pick me up for our date later in the day. And Nicolas was probably gonna barge in any second to talk about school resuming and academic stuff.
I was not ready.
"Why would you not be excited to go back to school, are you insane?" Nicolas asked me, his eyes so wide, you'd think I said bread was the worst thing, which I could never.
"I'm just saying Nicolas. I hate school"
"Stop saying that! Seriously, it's baffling how youths of these days don't like the very thing that's good for them"
"so you'd have preferred if I lied?"
"Yes"
"I'm sorry sir Nicolas, for being honest with you. I'll try lying from now on"
He only rolled his eyes in response and flicked a cornflake at me.
We did nothing more after then, except eat cereal and trash talk our professors."I have to go get ready now" I groaned after checking the time on my phone and realizing the my date was fast approaching, not really in the mood to get up.
"get ready for what?"
"My date, with Michaelangelo"
"I see" he murmured, seemingly dissapointed.
"Wanna help?" I offered, also wanting to spend a little more time with him.
"Does that mean I get to enter your room?"
"No just sit here"
"I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not"
"It's not!" I half yelled, leaving him probably wondering why my mood changed so suddenly.
I tried on about five different outfits. All that were;
'Too casual'
'Too dressy'
'Meh'
And something along the lines of those.
In the end, I went with a white graphic tee, mom jeans and white Nike high tops. Nothing too fancy.
"Someone looks great"
"Oh my God Nicolas please don't grin like that, you look like a serial killer"
"Sorry" he shrugged unapologeticically, still smiling so wide.
"You just make me think of a 90's grunge kid"Then he delved into talking about shows with characters that dressed the same or similar. I contributed the much I knew to the conversation.
Or at least the much I thought I knew.
"You're mixing everything up Adrien. Phoebe is blonde, and in Friends" he sighed, exasperated, probably from explaining so much to me.
"You're right, I am a total noob. I just never got round to watching these things" I apologized, finally deciding on putting my braids into a ponytail.
"You know what, I think I can help. Are you busy this weekend?"
"Not really, except something important comes up. Why?"
