Chapter 30

"Happy three years Skye!" Chase grinned walking up to her.

Skye hugged him, resting in his embrace for a moment "Happy three years!"

The bell rang, symbolizing that the students have to get to class.

"I'll see you later." Chase smiled.

"You got it." Skye winked playfully.

Chase chuckled and walked off.

Chase rang Skye's doorbell.

Skye's mom came to the door and immediately noticed Chase was in a tux.

"Hello darling. You look spiffy." Skye's mom smiled.

"Yeah. Skye and I are going to troisiéme for dinner." Chase smiled.

"Ooh how fancy!" Skye's mom gleamed. "Skye?" She called

"Coming!" Skye called and carefully ran down the stairs.

She smiled at Chase.

"You look cute." Chase smiled at his girlfriend in grey casual dress. Her hair was pulled back and she smiled.

"Thank you."

"You kids have fun now!" Skye's mom waved and went back inside.

Chase and Skye walked to Chase's car.

When they got in, Chase took Skye's hand "I can't believe we've been together for three years."

"I know! Time flies!"

"Thank you." Chase said quietly

"For what?" Skye tilted her head

"For staying with me. It's hard without my dad here and I'm just happy I have you." Chase lightly smiled

Skye leaned over and kissed his cheek. "I'm happy I have you, too."

Chase drove off and about fifteen minutes later they pulled up to the restaurant.

They both walked in, holding hands, and requested a table for two.

They strolled over to their the table, following the hostess, and they both sighed happily as they sat down.

A couple minutes later, a waiter came over and took their orders

"So I-" *ding* Chase looked at his phone, which had just buzzed and he gasped.

"What? What's wrong?" Skye asked with concern

"We gotta go now! Marshall's in the hospital!" Chase said with concern for his best friend in his voice

Skye stood up. "What?!."

"I don't know! Come on!"

They both went back to his car.

They arrived at the hospital and walked into the waiting room, seeing the rest of their friends sitting around impatiently.

"What happened?" Chase asked as he walked in

"The moron fell off a ladder at the fire station and broke his arm." Carly explained as she switched positions in the chair she was sitting in

"He has to get a surgery on it." Tessa added

"Is he in the surgery right now?" Skye asked

"Yeah." Tessa nodded

Marshall's parents were there too, and they looked worried.
