There and Back

Chapter 5

" Close your eyes! Your gonna love it." said Sam.

So I closed my eyes and waited. When the car stopped I asked if I could open my eyes.

" Not yet." I heard Sam say.

The door beside me opened and someone reached over and took off my seat belt. I felt a warm hand grab mine and the other cover my eyes. 

" Please can I look?" I begged.

" No, not until we're inside." Sam said.

" Fine."

Once we got in, Sam took his hand off my eyes.

" Tada!" said Kate, her arms out wide.It was beautiful. It wasn't a big house but it still had enough room for ten people.

" Wow!" I said, " This is just, WOW!"

" Is that all you can say?" asked John, laughing.

" This is the size of my old house at England!" I said.

" Wow, must have been small." Sam said, sitting on a couch.

" Actually, our house was considered big."I said, giggling. We were laughing for about ten minutes when finally, Kate and Sam's mom came in.

" Shh." Sam said with his finger over his mouth.

" Hi guys!" said Sam and Kate's mom.

" Hi mom!" they said in unicen.

" Is John here?"

" Right here, Mrs. M." said John.

" All we need now is Mathew." said Mrs. Morgan

" I'm up in my room mom." said a familiar voice. The young boy who made fun of my hair was bounding down the stairs to see his mom.

 " Great we're all he..." she stopped as she walked into the living room.

" Hello Mrs. Morgan." I said

" And who's this?" Mrs. Morgan asked Kate.

" Mom, I would like to introduce you to Kristina." said Kate.

" Why hello, Kristina. You were the girl at the store weren't you."

" Yea." I said.

" Again, I am dreadfully sorry about Matthew."

" It's OK, I have one of my own." 

" OK well I'm going to make cupcakes."

" Yes!" Sam and Kate said in unicen.

" So Kate, how long have you and John been dating." I asked trying not o sound to curious.

" A month or two I think." John replied for Kate.

 " Yea, that's probably it." Kate agreed.

" Cool." I said

" Cool." Sam said, trying to be funny. We all laughed for about 10 minutes.

" Cupcakes are ready!" said Mrs. Morgan, "Kristina, would you like first pick?"

" No thanks, I'm saving room for dinner at my place." I said. My mom always goes overboard with the cooking and she expects us to eat everything on our plate.

While eveyone else was eating their cupcakes, I was sitting on the couch, texting James.

Me: Hi James

James: Hi Kristina.

Me: How r you?

James: Tired, its middle of night here.

Me: Sorry have a good sleep.

James: Txt me tomorrow morning

Me: KK now get some sleep!

" Who ya texting?"

" AH! God Sam, you made me jump." he got over here so quietly, I couldn't hear a thing.

" So who are you texting?" he asked again.

" My friend James. From England." I replied

" Is he cute?" Kate asked. John nuged her with his elbow.

" No, he was horribly ugly." I said sarcastically, " Of course he was cute!"

We were talking about my life in England for about an hour until the doorbell rang. 

" Must be my mom. Bye everyone."  I said.

" See you tomorrow Kristina!" Sam, Kate and John said back.
