Sam's POV
" Even though I didn't know Rob. At all. I hear he was a great man. Like everyone, it must have been very hard to let him go. He was lost to cancer, like many and is now up above us watching to make sure we are all fine. Amen." I finished my speech and walked over to where Kristina and I were sitting.
Kristina held onto my arm and started crying into my shoulder. I kissed the top of her head and started stroking her head.
" S-Sam, th-that was really lovely." She sniffled into my arm.
I chuckled and replied, " No it wasn't. Yours would probably be better."
" But I can't do mine. I'd break down into tears." she looked up at me.
" I know, now stop crying, I don't like to see you like this." I smiled sadly.
She looked up and smiled weakly before looking to the front where Jackie was talking. After many people, friends and family, men and women, had gone to the front and spoken their words of sorrow, we all walked off to the burial site. After a few minutes of the priest talking, they lowered Robs grave into the dark, damp ground. While Jackie and James were saying goodbye to everyone, Kristina and I took a walk through the grave yard.
" Sam, I love you." Kristina said looking at me seriously.
" I love you too." I told her.
" James told you about Marcus, didn't he." she asked solemnly.
I froze, I should tell her, she's my girlfriends. But I promised James. But she's my girlfriend. I nodded my head slowly and she sighed.
' I knew he was worried about that. He kept telling me that he was bad news but I never listened. Marcus ruined everything for me in one day." Kristina said, " That one dance, it was just horrid. Marcus told me to wear something I would never wear by myself. It ruined my self confidence and when his friends were making fun of me, Marcus just laughed." she was crying now.
" Kristina, you don't have to tell me." I said pulling her close.
" I do and I will. I need it out of my head. I keep thinking it will happen with us." she said, looking at the ground.
I stopped in my tracks and put my two fingers under her chin to lift up her head. I stared at her tear stained eyes long and hard ( if you have a dirty mind, sorry if it sounds wrong:P)
" Kristina, that will never happen ever again. I'll make sure it won't." I said sternly.
" But, what if..." but before she could finish, I crashed my lips onto hers.
She was resisting it. I had to calm her down. I snaked one of my hands around her neck and the other holding her close to me. She finally gave in and wrapped her arms around my neck. I let go of her neck and placed the hand on her waist. She closed her eyes, unshed tears falling down her cheeks. We pulled apart and I picked her up in bridal stride.
" I promise."
Kristina's POV
" I promise." The two words that got me hooked on Marcus. I looked up at Sam carried me into town.
I needed some alone time.
" Sam, I'm going to go find a loo."
" A what?" he asked.
" A toilet."
" Ah." he put me down and told me to be back soon and I made my way to the closest toilet. Suddenly, I got pulled into an alley way by an old enemy.
" MARCUS! Let go of me." I yelled.
" Psh, as if. I've still needed to get my revenge."
" SAM!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Marcus had covered my mouth so my scream was all muffled and quiet.
" He won't hear y..." but before he could finish, he got punched in the stomach.
He turned around quickly, with me still in his grip, I saw Sam and James, standing at Marcus' only exit.
" Let go, of my girlfriend." Sam ordered, walking up and balling his fists.
Behind me, I could feel Marcus tense up and I knew he had a grin on his face. Before I knew it, I got hit hard in the stomach. I doubled over in pain with Marcus' hand still over my mouth. Next thing I knew, Marcus was pulling on my ponytail, tears of pain running down my cheeks.
" Marcus, don't hit her again." James warned but apparently every step they took meant bad for me.
Sam took another step forward and I got another blow to my stomach. I couldn't do anything because of the searing pains and my hads were tied behind my back. All I could do was let tears fall down my face. Marcus was not going to give up with his mission. This time James took a step forward and Marcus hit me at the side of my body. I shook my head while trying to get my breath back.
" One more step and I'll cut her arm." Marcus warned seriously pulling a pocket knife out of his pocket.
I looked up at Sam and he looked at me and took another defensive step. BOYFRIENDS ARR SO STUBORN! The second Sam took his foot off the ground, a searing pain went through my arm. I screamed and cried until Marcus finally stopped and pushed me to the ground. Sam ran up to me and was about to hit Marcus but Marcus, had disappeared.
Sam picked me up in bridal position and I remembered him ask, " Where is you mom?"
* Two days later*
" murfl" I manager to get out.
"KRISTINA!" I heard a familiar voice say beside me.
I tried to get up and look at the person but when I pushed myself off my bed, I got a searing pain in my ribs.
" Stay lying down hun, I'll go get James." Sam said gently and ran out the room.
Where am I? What happened to cause so much pain?
