" Kristina! Over here." I heard a familiar voice. I turned around to see my mom's old friend, Madison.
" Hi Madison!" I said giving her a big hug.
" Gosh, you've grown!" she exclaimed.
" After two months? Yea right." I giggled. While hugging me, Madison looked up and saw Sam standing by, watching.
" And who's this?" Madison asked curiously.
I let go and turned around to see what Madison was staring at.
" Oh, right, Maddi, this is Sam... My boyfriend." I replied, walking over to Sam. He wrapped his arm around me and stuck out his hand.
" Nice to meet you." he said politely.
" You too." Maddi said with a smile on her face.
Once Sam and Madison got to know each other, Madison showed us to her car. It was a big, red truck! I have always dreamed of having a big red truck.
" Oh my god! Maddi, I love your car!" I squealed.
" I knew you would! You have always been telling me how much you like trucks." she smiled. I gave her a great big hug and ran to sit in the back with Sam. Sam was already looking at the side the steering wheel of the car was on and he looked really confused.
The cars in England were the exact opposite of the ones in Canada. The steering wheels were on the right side instead of the left in England and when we got out of the airport and onto the highway, Sam had a panic attack because he thought we were diving on the wrong side of the road.
" You just ruined your chance of me letting you drive." I giggled.
" Come on, please?" He pouted with puppy dog eyes, snuggling into my arm.
" Not if you're worried about driving on the wrong side of the road."
" I'll get used to it."
Sam and I had a friendly argument the entire way to James' house. It was just as I remembered. A huge old fashioned house. Madison dropped us of and told us to say hello to everyone for her. Sam put his arm around my waist and looked at me.
" I'm here for you." he said.
" Thank you." I said looking up at him. He leaned down and caught my lips in a kiss. It was only a quick kiss but it meant a lot. We walked up to the door hand in hand and I rang the door bell. James' mom, Jackie, answered the door.
" Kristina!" she exclaimed, giving me a huge hug.
" Hi Jackie, just in case your wondering", I said letting go of her and pointing to Sam, " This is my boyfriend. Sam meet Jackie."
" Hello Mrs..."
" Cook." I whispered into his ear.
" Hello Mrs.Cook." Sam said his hand still hanging onto mine.
" Oh dear, we have only set up one room!" Jackie panicked.
" Jackie, it's fine. He can stay in my room." I giggled. She was just like old Jackie, worrying about every little thing.
" Are you sure?" she asked.
" Positive."
" Come in!" Jackie exclaimed, " James is dying to see you again."
" Where is he?" I asked.
" Still at school."
" Oh."
Sam and I were already on Christmas Vacation so we had no school and I guess today is the last day of school for James until Christmas break.
" Your going to be his surprise for when he gets back from school!" Jackie exclaimed.
" OK!" I couldn't wait to see him.
Jackie helped us get all of our stuff up to the room. It was a lovely room. It had a queen size bed, a walk-in closet and a bathroom.
" Wow!" Sam said. Even though the room was small, it could fit A LOT.
I put our stuff on the bed and started unpacking while Sam was looking around. Sam came up and wrapped his arms around me while I was putting away the last few things.
" You done yet?" he asked, brushing his lips on my ear.
" Yup, just put away the last thing." I replied, leaning into him.
" Yay." he said softly.
He spun me around so I could see him and gave a quick smirk before leaning in for a kiss. I felt tingles go down my spine when he placed his hand on the back of my neck. He brushed his tongue against my bottom lip and I giggled before I let him in. I could feel him smiling. He grabbed my thighs and lifted me up. He walked over to the bed and sat down. When we let go, he hot his hand under my shirt and held me there.
"I love you." he said with a grin.
" I love you too." I said pecking his lips.
" Kristina! Sam! James is here!" Jackie yelled at the top of her lungs.
" EEEEEEEE!" I squealed.
" Calm down." Sam chuckled.
" OK!" and I ran down the stairs.
