Gino and Lloyd are playing billiards. "I am so heartbroken!!!", Lloyd bursted out. "Was it because President Milly broke up with you?", Gino teased. "My Guren is stolen away from me!!!", Lloyd complained. "It wasnt yours from the beginning", Cecil chuckled but stopped when she saw Suzaku sulking at the couch. "Suzaku", she called out. "I'm fine", the lad gave a weak smile. Glen and Saphira entered and looked at Suzaku. Their eyes met. "Suzaku, you won in that battle. Stop looking like a loser", Glen cheered him up. Glen forced a laughter and patted his shoulder. At the same time, Scheneizel entered. "We saw that the former Emperor is heading to Japan", Kanon informed. "He's not here because of the war. Its just mundane thing for him, isnt it? Your Majesty. You were just used as a stand in for him", Scheneizel opened. "You dare speak to you Emperor like that?", Glen chuckled. "I should have been the one sitting on the throne", Scheneizel clenched his fist. "The former emperor needs to be stopped whatever he is doing", Suzaku stepped in. "But I have no right to interfere since I have no power, right, your majesty?", Suzaku stepped forward and faced Scheneizel. "That is why, I am asking you to grant me the Knight of One number. Your Majesty", Suzaku pulled Saphira and pressed his sword on her neck. "Is this  coup d'état that I am witnessing?!!", Lloyd asked in amazement. "You are also a part of the emperor's plan, arent you? The Ghoul of Britain", Suzaku reminded Glen of that dreadful name. "Arent you afraid of me, Suzaku?", Glen chuckled and raised his sword. Suzaku pressed the sword on Saphira's neck and it bled. 

 Glen dropped his sword and raised his hand.  "Arrest him. His Highness Glen De Britannia is arrested for the disrespect of humanity as he is accomplice of an experiment before", Scheneizel ordered and the guards pinned Glen down. Both him and Gino were placed into a chair and bounded by chains. Guards also have their spears pointed at them. Suzaku wore his coat and waited for Lancelot to be fixed. At the same time, Cecil is tending Saphira's wound in her neck. "I couldn't believe that Suzaku will do that", Cecil said in disappointment. "I was the one who pressed my neck on the sword", Saphira informed. Cecil was startled. "I knew he'd be doing this", Saphira chuckled. 

"Suzaku! You wont get away with this", Gino gritted his teeth. "So you are Saphira's new knight. I give you a tip, she's really stubborn", Suzaku said with a bored tone. "I see, you are really abandoning her this time", Gino bit his lips. "You are abandoning her even if she had always been with you!!!!", Gino shouted in anger. "I am at war right now, Gino. Then, rest well", Suzaku left the room and boarded on Lancelot. "Scheneizel, this time listen to me. This is not just about the Emperor dying", Glen opened his mouth. "I am begging you. If Charles dies...", Glen gulped. "Now I was wondering why Saphira became a goody good girl", Scheneizel had a smirk on his face. "What does he mean?", Gino asked. "Since "Since you are Saphira's new knight. You should also know", Scheneizel looked at Glen. "Scheneizel... you bastard!!!", Glen shouted. "My apologies, Uncle. Lock him and never allow anyone to come in contact with him", Glen ordered. A guard came with an injection to induce sleep to him. After he was dragged away, Scheneizel went back to Gino. "Have you heard of the German war?", Scheneizel asked. "That was a fortunate battle because of the bombs planted by Germans. Their plan backfired", Gino recalled. "Backfired?", Scheneizel laughed. "Gino, let me tell you a story", Scheneziel looked at his eyes.

Flashback 10 years ago

A white haired girl was sitting in front of the sword of Akasha. A shut down machine for Geass users. She's gone through a lot of experiments and also tortures. She was threatened to be hurt really bad once she doesn't follow the orders. She was tasked to tract a certain person in area 11 when the war broke. 

Saphira, the girl was organized and trained to be a skilled assassin and spy. All her life, she was taught how to take someone's life.  Her fast regeneration caused her to be the front liner of the battle soldiers. As she was faced with the woman they were searching, she froze and saw how their hair were similar.  "Kill her", the voice coming from the radio ordered. "Saphira, is that you? You have the same eyes as your father", Iris, her mother went close to her. The alley suddenly was shaded under a dark cloud. The rain suddenly poured out. "Saphira, this is me, your mother", Iris smiled and hugged her. She cherished the moment of holding her daughter. She was quite tall comparing to normal girls. After a while, Iris felt cold blade piercing through her stomach. "If you were my mother, you could have brought me here with you...but you didn't", Saphira pulled out the sword and Iris dropped on the floor. 

"I'm so sorry Saphira. I didn't have the strength to pull you out from that hell. I a horrible but then... everyday... I thought of you. I longed for every moment when I can ask for apology and tell you that I really loved you", Iris cried. "I never left. Your father kept me here. That's why, you were never forsaken Saphira. Even your father, he was forced to give you to the Emperor or else... the Emperor will kill me. He doesn't have much of a choice", Iris explained. "Never mind me Saphira, just forgive your father", Iris voice is turning faint. 

"Saphira, live even if other people will force you to die", Iris released a geass and it stuck on Saphira's brain. 

In order to prevent rebellion, V'v used his code to lock her memories and changed it into something else. 

Glen came back after a massacre. He was known for sweeping the whole area just for a night. He became blood thirst and projected his hatred in battlefield. For years, he spent his time killing. He wasn't able to protect both those whom he loved. Saphira was freed at the Geass research lab with her memories sealed by Charles with V.v's code. She was returned to Glen.  Glen saw Saphira's smiles and heard her laughters. He was captivated by them. The voices of those that haunts him can no longer be heard. As long as he has Saphira beside her, he can now clear his conscience. He finally came into his senses to stop killing since he was able to save a single person. Glen resigned as the Commander of the Numbers but Charles bounded him to stay even just as a leader. Glen spent the rest of the years rearing Saphira. Glen would also teach Saphira to use the Knightmare through simulation but inculcated in her mind that Knightmares are not toys. This is the reason why he never allowed him to ride one until Euphemia and Saphira underwent military training. Saphira would always get beaten by Euphemia. They became good friends. Saphira took a break from school since she's been having headache as side effects of the experiments she underwent before. Scheneizel, being the prime minister, took the advantage and lied to Saphira.

Present.

"The battle in Germany was done by a single person aided by Bismarck as his vow to Glen. I lied to Saphira that it was just a simulation game. When she finally realized it wasn't a game, she removed her nerve gear and saw she was inside a real Knightmare. She went out and saw the whole nation burning around her", Scheneizel informed. "All for the cause of winning?!", Gino tried to removed the handcuffs. "Dont blame me. It was an order from the Emperor", Scheneizel clarified. "Does she know about that?", Gino asked. "She needs her memories to be re-written again but then even before that simulation, she bathe in blood taking the lives of hundreds and thousands. All for the sake of surviving", Scheniezel added.
