The day was passing by slowly as Nova made her way through the dense forest, the blazing sun still managing to break through and touch her warm skin. Her hand held her bow tightly while she swiftly moved through the trees, stopping every so often to make sure no one was following her.

The silence was giving her some time to think to herself. But to her it seemed like that's all she was doing. Just thinking. Four months she just thought to herself. Now she had a human presence and what did she decide to do? Leave. It was stupid. She shouldn't have left, and she knew that. But she still did.

We all make decisions that sometimes we wish we could change, go back and do things differently. Maybe if she stayed back there with Clarke, maybe she could have talked to her. Clarke didn't want to talk about it, she made that clear to Nova. She didn't want the brunettes help, but she needed it. She needed someone. Someone to be there.

At least that's what Nova thought. And the thoughts of others don't really matter until you know yourself that you're okay, or better. She still wishes that she stayed back though, and she would change this morning if she could.

Nova finally decided to give up on hunting for today. They still had some food left back at their little home to last them a few days, so when the time came to find food, she would. She spun around and started heading back, a low sigh escaping her lips as her tired muscles moved her along the path she had just come from.

The leaves were changing colour, oranges and browns mixing in with the original greens. They scattered along the forest floor, blending into the arch other.

It was such a usual thing to see at this point. Nova was used to the forests looks that nothing she saw would surprise her. That was the difference between her and Clarke. They were like polar opposites. Nova had this fun side, where even in the most serious moments she could say something to make another person laugh. Where Clarke was more serious all the time. And, they came from two very different places. The sky, and the ground.

But yet they made their small formed friendship work. And it worked pretty okay. Most of the time.

Nova stopped dead when she heard a faint sound. She was quite close to their small home, but it didn't feel the same. Something was off. No. Something was missing.

Nova continued to stand there, looking all around her as she thought about the low sound she heard. It could be nothing, she thought. But how often was it just nothing? Never. It was never just nothing, and that's what scared Nova the most.

Nova started racing back when she heard Clarke yelling. Telling someone to get off of her. Nova's legs moved quickly, a burning sensation springing through her shins. Nova continued running over the annoyingly crunchy leaves as Clarke's struggling sounds were becoming clearer. Nova's mind was screaming, but was blank all at once. She would get a horrible thought about what was happening then would struggle to clear her mind. The worst of things could be happening to her right and Nova wasn't there. She felt terrible.  She just happened to leave and now Clarke was in trouble.
