The Beginning

Chapter One

This is my first fanfic, so please, no hate. It is a love story about Rapunzel and Jack Frost, also this will be from Rapunzel's point of view, if it changes it will tell you at the beginning of the chapter. Also there will be some other characters further into the story.

Anyway enough babbling, enjoy the story.

I lie awake. It was dark, and cold. Mother was away, and I was alone, no one but Pasqual was there to keep me company, but even he was asleep.

I carefully lifted Pasqual's delicate and small body onto one side of my bed so I could get up without disturbing him. My bare feet touched the cold floor, a shiver went down my spine.

Wandering around my tower I noticed the main window was open, but I'm sure I closed it, I thought to myself. Walking towards the window I noticed a small snowflake float in through it and gently land on my nose, I smiled and whispered "Jack, I know your here", then a few more snowflake floated around me. I ran to my window and looked up to find Jack sitting on the edge of my roof, beaming at me, he flew in and landed on the windowsill.

"Hey Punzie" he said, "What are you doing here " I asked with confusion "I mean I haven't seen you in years", he stared at me for a second, looking like he trying to gather his words then said with a surprised face "Wait.....it's been years, I thought it was like, well I don't know, guess I never really thought about it"there was a slight pause " Anyway back to the point, what are you doing here?" I said " Well, remember when I used to come all the time, like when you were growing up", "Yeah" I replied eager to know what he was going to say, "And I used to tell you that one day I would take you off some place amazing", "yes" I said intrigued, " Well, would you......come with me to that place, you can have a better life, have friends, it will be......well I'm sure you can imagine". There was a long pause, I looked around me, at my home, the place I've lived in for my whole life, everything I knew, then turned, looking into Jack's piercing blue eyes and said "What about my Mother, what's she going to think when she comes home and finds me gone, just tell me that Jack", "Well, you don't need to worry about her, just come with me and you will never have worry about her again......ever" "But Jack I......." "When you were younger you always talked about leaving, and well, now you can, please Rapunzel" he said. I looked around me and the window caught my eye, the freedom, it was so close, yet so far away, what should I do, what should I do, the question swirled around my, " Jack, can I just......sleep on it, and you can stay for the night as well, I mean, if you like.", he stared at me for a minute, then said " ok"

I led him to my room and sat on my bed, he looked me as if I was insane, "come on, you used to sleep with me all the time when I was little, oh wait, you think it's awkward because I'm nearly the same age as you, well, the age you turned immortal" I said with a smirk, "Hey I don't think it's awkward, it's just", "Jack, do you wanna sleep here or not" I said stubbornly, but with a whisper, "ok" he said as he climbed into bed.

I lay beside him in silence, listening to his quiet breathing as I drifted off to sleep.

When I awoke, Jack was still fast asleep with Pasqual on his shoulder, I smirked, then remembered what had happened the previous night, the question I to answer, my stomach started to churn, so I slid out of bed. I wandered around the tower, then I decided to go and look out my window, it was a chilly morning but still, the sun was out and the birds were singing.

Suddenly I felt a cold hand touch my shoulder, I jumped but realised it only Jack. I turned to look at him, " So, have you decided?" he asked eagerly " well, I just need to go and talk to Pasqual", " Oh no it's ok I already did, and he wants to come, so do you?", I turned and took a look at my tower, took a deep breath and said "ok".
