Caroline held Jasmine's hand, staring up at the stars. She was thankful to have her friends to support her. Even after she failed and got Isabella killed. Matt put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Mark and James stood silently, tears in their eyes. "We'll always remember and love you, Isabella." Caroline murmured.

After standing together outside Caroline went back inside. She felt numb as she stumbled into the bathroom. She saw a few of Isabella's belongings on the counter. Quiet tears streamed down her face as she showered and then got dressed in her pajamas. She went to brush her teeth and saw that she still had some blood from when she bit all of her friends. She licked over it, trying to get it of so she wouldn't get her toothbrush bloodstained. Luke was right, it did taste insanely good. She ignored it through her grief, brushed her teeth and then went to her room to sleep. Matt was on the balcony looking around. Caroline wiped the tears from her face and went up to him. "Matt. You shouldn't have to deal with all of this. You should go live a happy carefree life somewhere."

"You know I could never do that."

"Why not? You don't deserve this!"

"I can't leave you because I don't want them to hurt you!" Matt snapped and then looked away.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." Caroline said quietly.

"No... you didn't upset me. This is just difficult."

"I get it. I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight, Matt."

"Goodnight, Caroline."

It had been five days since Isabella had been killed. Everyone was still broken from the loss of her presence but it was time for them to try and put it in the past. They would fight and remember her but they couldn't let it hold them back forever. "Come on, everyone."

"Where are we going?" Jasmine asked.

"You'll see."

Caroline led them all out to the forest and stopped after they had gone fairly far. They stood in a clearing with grass up to their knees. "So, no one has shifted yet, correct?"

They mumbled replies. "Well, today's the day you'll all shift! Except you, Matt. Obviously."

"Right, I'm the only human here. Oh and I brought everyone a spare set of clothes." He said, gesturing to his backpack.

"Thanks, Matt. Okay, close your eyes now... imagine your wolf. This should just come to you naturally... Now imaging yourself changing into your wolf." Caroline watched as Jasmine shifted into a beautiful, white wolf. Olivia turned into a black wolf with amazing blue eyes. James changed into a gray wolf with a white face and tail. Finally, Mark shifted into a reddish-brown wolf with leaf green eyes. Caroline shifted with them. "You guys did it!"

They all looked at eachother and chatted happily for the first time in days. Caroline barked, getting their attention. "I thought about it a lot last night and I think I've figured it out. We're going to build up our pack and then demand that Luke's pack stops killing people." Caroline knew it sucked considering how good people taste but it was wrong to eat people!

"So, how will we build up the pack?" Olivia asked.

"I was thinking that we could save people from being lunch and then ask if it's what they want to join us. If not we will let them go."

"Sounds good to me." Mark said.

Everyone else barked in agreement.

"It's too dangerous for us all to go so I was thinking I could go along with one other person. Whoever comes with me will distract them and then while they are distracted I'll get the victim and we can both run off together."

"I call first mission!" Olivia barked.

"Not fair! I say we compete for first mission!" Mark suggested.

"We can choose later. For now we must train." Caroline ordered.

***

Caroline bolted past Jasmine and Olivia then, paused by Matt, letting him jump on her back. She ran past Mark who chased after her. She made it to the edge of the clearing, beating Mark. "I've decided who I'll take first!"

"James."

"Yes!"

"The rest of you should get home. Training will continue tomorrow."

***

Caroline sat anxiously on the edge of the clearing. She saw Garret throw a man who had only one arm to the ground in front of Luke. "Finally! I'm starving... So, strange. You actually thought you could try and get revenge on me. Pitiful."

James jumped out from the bushes. "Hey, whatchya doin' there?"

Caroline swiftly crept around the edge of the clearing and then ran out to the man. She nodded to him and he slowly and awkwardly climbed on, clearly uncertain of what to do. Caroline took off at top speed with James trailing behind her. The man gripped her fur tightly. Caroline slowed down where she had left some clothes. James and Caroline shifted and got dressed then turned to the man who was looking away. "Hey." Caroline said.

He turned back and gave a weak smile. "You two really saved my ass back there. Thanks."

"No problem..."

"Adam. But my friends call me Shark."

"Why?" James asked.

Shark lifted his shirt to reveal a shark tattoo and he then gestured to his missing arm. "Lost it to a great white."

"That's rough... You probably need rest. Come with us."

Caroline led him inside the house where everyone waited eagerly. "Hi!"

"Welcome."

"Sup?"

They all greeted. Caroline gave a brief explanation of everything that happened and then turned to Shark. "I heard Luke mention something about revenge. What was that about?" James asked.

"He killed my wife. I want to avenge her."

"Wow, I'm so sorry. We recently lost someone too so we can relate. We're always here to help and support you if you want." Caroline said.

"Change me. Then, I can help you guys when you do confront them about the murdering people thing. Please?"

"Fine." Caroline grumbled. "Get comfortable."

He laid down on the couch and held out his only arm. "Do it."

"You sure about this? It hurts like hell and then WHO will be coming after you. This is your last chance to back out."

"I'm certain."

Caroline sighed in frustration as she slowly but his arm as carefully as she could. She recently found out that she could produce the venom in her mouth without being in her wolf form. She injected venom into him and held on for just a second longer. Luke was right. It was taking every ounce of her strength to not chow down on Shark. She let go and backed away. She could only watch as he screamed in agony for several minutes. Suddenly, Caroline noticed something strange. There was movement under his skin near his missing arm. He shrieked in pain as everyone watched his arm grow back in seconds. It was the most insane thing she'd ever seen in her life. He stopped screaming and fell unconscious. His entire arm and hand were back as if nothing had happened to it before.
