Author POV

Alia carried her long legs and dashed across the hallway. She was hopeful that the human figure she saw, would give her an answer.

The hallway had a very high ceiling with 5 big chandeliers hanging. The pillars of the hallway were crafted and engraved in fine and intricate design. The hallway had two floors that gave it a grandeour look.

Alia was simply mersmerised and started looking around the hallway, touching the designs of the pillars as she moved.

When she got nearer to the gargantuan windows, she was able to see the massive garden that had a big fountain in the middle, accompanied by small bushes and flower pots at the perimeter of the pool of the fountain. Women and men were seen walking around the garden admiring the beauty it uphold.

"Lost?"a sound came from behind Alia. Alia came back to her senses and turned around to a face a man, an inch taller than her. He had a structural and muscular body with broad shoulders. He had fair skin, dark brown hair, and brown eyes. His biceps were about to rip open the white shirt that he was wearing underneath the armour he was wearing. He had a nice and shaven beard. He had distinct cheekbones and an angular jaw, his pale skin made him look devilishly handsome.

'Lower down your gaze Alia. Great! you have to retake your wudhu' Alia murmered to herself.

"I see theres musollah in your hands..erm do you need to pray? Well this place isnt for praying. Its the mass hall where every-" he was cut off by Alia.

"I need to know the direction of the kiblat in my room in order for me to make my prayers" she said quickly.

The man quickly summoned an attender and ordered her to show the kiblat without taking a single glance off Alia. The attender then gestured Alia to follow her back to her room.

Alia prayed her lohor prayers and changed into a turquaoise anarkali suit and fastened its dupatta at the side of her shoulder. She then wrapped her hijab and secured with some safety pins. Wearing a sequinced flat covered shoes that was given to her by Princess, she took a deep breath and released it knowing that it was time to meet the mass of people who were solely there to jugde her.

Azad's POV

I was walking towards my bedroom when i saw a silhouette running towards the hallway. Why on earth would anyone want to run to the hallway when its empty? Curiousity killed me and i followed.

I was surprised that the figure i saw running, turned out to be a woman. When i neared her, remembering to keep halal distance from her, i noticed that she was almost the same height as me! She was indeed tall for a lady. I gathered my courage and questioned her if she was lost. She turned around and looked straight into my eyes as if pleading for help.

There was a moment of silence before the woman clenched her fist.

"I see theres musollah in your hands..erm do you need to pray? Well this place isnt for praying. Its the mass hall where every-"I was rudely interupted by that lady.

She should be around my age or so and she dared to cut me off, a guy whom did not know about. Never ever in my life a third person dared to cut me when i was talking. How dare she!

"I need to know the direction of the kiblat in my room in order for me to do my prayers" she trailed off.

Upon hearing that, i immediately knew that she would have been one of the few visitors who have came here to seek hand for my marriage. The chambers that were appointed to them did not have kiblat directions as they were mainly situated to those western foreigners who would come to talk business with my elder brother.

I quickly summoned an attender who was walking nearby. I saw that lady flinch when i ordered the attender.
"That's good" i thought to myself and saw her leave the hallway, clutching onto the musolla tightly.

I returned to my bedroom and freshened up. The knights previously complained that Zaki was in bad mood and did not allow any of the other knights to near him. Zaki was my pet horse and he has been with me for 20 years. Yes, i got him on the year whereby i lose my loved ones.

I did my whudu and prayed lohor. I wore a dark blue shirt and folded the sleeves till my forearms and wore cream pants. Afterall its just a small lunch. I was neither giving a damn nor entertain anyone who crossed my path. It was no big deal to me.
