Azad POV

It was 11 at night and Aqil wanted to meet me. He wanted help from me.

I was asked to be present in his chamber at that point of time where most of the people in the mansiom slept. I arrived at his chamber  and opened the door. There, Aqil was sitting on the dressing chair and Alia, sitting cross-legged on the bed. I was astonished upon seeing Alia. Alia was not wearing any gown or anarkali, but a simple long sleeve that extended below her knee and black jeans; just like any simple girl. Yet, she was still wearing her hijab. Alia quickly moved to the other end of the bed upon seeing Aqil, gesturing me to sit on his bed.

"Bhaiya, we need your help. My abba has informed me some identification of the intruders. You have to help us" he said pointing to a paper in Alia's hands.

"Well, remember the coincident talk you are about to have tomorrow, thats when you are going to investigate, secretly. In this paper, there are some identifications. For example, the intruder has a mole on her left hand. So,we need you to find out who has the mole. The others follows as well. One has short tongue and detached ears. I think this is a bit easy since im the only one among the 4 who wears hijab and then the next one.."she continued. I could not focus on what she was saying as i was busy occupied with the fact that she was really sitting beside me, even though we were slightly far apart and explaining the plan. The fact that she had really deep brown eyes and a dimple forming at the right end of her mouth, made me diverted from the plan. However, nothing was as close as the day before where she slammed me with all her might, against the wall. However, i was back to my senses after awhile.

After we discussed the plan, i opened Aqil's chamber door and decided to return back to my room. Just then Alia came behind me and bumped onto me. "Sorry!"i cried. She quickly backed away from me. "Oh dear, we have to collide again or else you would grow horns, Azad!"she exclaimed. Before i could even react, she came forward and hit me on my forehead again and faced the bridge towards her chamber. 'We have to collide again or else you would grow horns, Azad!'  That phrase was familiar, but i just couldnt think where it was from!

"Azad, look one of the chamber lights are on!"she said pointing to the floor that emitted light from the bottom of the door.

"Is there a way we can see them? Like windows or something?"she said looking at me directly into my eyes. I couldnt breathe for a moment.

"Er...yeah. We can climb up from behind their balcony. Just that there some pipes and poles.." i said scratching my head.

"Its okay i can handle them. Im wearing pants; not to worry. Which way?" she exclaimed and made her move in the dark. I lead the way to the back of the palace and ended up below the balcony.

"I will go first Azad and then, you climb" she instructed. With that, she quickly jumped up on the pole and starting climbing up. She was a knight and she should have surely been trained for all this.

I followed behind her in the dark, making sure i didnt have any contact with her. 'She was really amazing'.

We landed on the balcony. Alia pulled me up by lending me her hand when i reached the balcony. We both stood against the wall, really close and side by side to an extend that i could feel her breathing, from all that climb. I stuck my head out a little to see what was happening when suddenly, footsteps were heard.

Alia immediately pushed me back against the wall and mouthed out the word NO. Her hands were on my chest. Oh god!

She quickly took out her brooch. She then folded it open and it became something like a mirror. She placed it in her hands and asked me to see from my view. One female was polishing a knife with a liquid. The other was looking at a map, probably the map of the mansion. It was then i recognised the one who was polishing. It was Faryal.

Alia POV

We slided down the poles, glad that we found the intruder. All we had to do was to catch them red handed.

"Azad, tomorrow, just try to find the lady. I suspect it should be Mairah. We just couldnt see her since she was blocking her face with the map and then..when you are going for the personal talk again, make sure that Mumbad is with you, incase they attack you. Plus we have had information that they might harm you all within this week. From what Shameerah had done, it might have given them an opportunity to take you down as well.

Lastly, i really dont know how far would this go. If they both attack and get caught, its good. However, if they have planned like a war or something, then we have to really do something about it" i said walking towards the mansion main hall, adjusting my hijab.

"But why dont we catch them now? Isnt it better? It would solve the problems in the future" Azad said, stopping in his tracks. I nodded a no and faced him. "With respect to your father, he said to catch them with evidance. The knife would be a weak evidance. They can simply say that they carry that for their self defense. We have to analyse from every angle. We shall meet tomorrow...at 11pm to discuss. I shall tell about this to Aqil and lets see what happens...and did you acknowledge your troops? Just in case. We cant really take anything for granted" i said with a sigh.

Azad looked as if he was about to rebuttle but stopped after seeing me yawn.

"Okay then, see you tomorrow!" Azad bid farewell. I left for my chamber and rushed back.

Azad POV

I went to my chamber and changed into my night attire. I took the photoframe from the cupboard. "I dont know why, but i feel happy today.
I dont know.. is it because we have found the intruders or is it that a new woman who came in my life. But ma, im very glad"i said and placed it back. I lied on my bed and hugged my bolster. The way Alia pushed me and bumped into me and talked to me was running through my mind. The way she disagreed with me for introducing ideas to her made me thought of what she said the other day.

'The wife has all the rights in the world to talk and change his decisions. Not all husbands look in different perspective. But i sure do hope that a Rani, who cares for people, would certainly analyse any problem in a different perspective. Even though, the region is being ruled by the Raja, the Raja have to be ruled by his wife, the Rani'.

I started to giggle after remembering what she said.   When did you smile Azad? It has been 20 years. 20 years ever since you smiled, Azad.
