Jungkook's point of view -
"We don't talk anymore-" The door flew open to reveal a small woman in a nice, tight black dress and a tall man in a expensive tuxedo. The woman walked in as the man stayed by the door. The lady was holding a perfectly wrapped up box in her hands.
I immediately recognized her fron the family photo on the wall and from the news; she is Jimin's mother. The man by the door, was Jimin's father
She smiled. "Jimin, who's this handsome young man?" Jimin stopped recording and looked up at her, "This is Jungkook, my friend."
I gave her an awkward smile when she looked at me from her son. "Hello, I'm Jungkook."
She smiled warmly, "Nice to meet you. I'm Minseo, Jimin's mother. Over there is his father. You probably know those already."
I laughed awkwardly, "Aha, yeah I do."
Why the hell would you say that, Jungkook?!
She walked over to Jimin, caressed his cheek and handed him the box, which he took without hesitation. "Are you staying for dinner, Jungkook?"
Jimin was pulling the strings to the box carefully; she was looking at me, waiting for an answer with a glint of...something unrecognizable...
"You should definitely stay." Jimin's father said from the door with a strong, deep voice.
I shock my head, "I would like to, but my mom is coming to pick me up like an hour or two."
Jimin has opened the box. He pulled out a bracelet, it was black and had a hand and an eye on the middle of it. He was looking into the box; she looks disappointed; he keeps staring at me.
That was a lie, well sort of. My mom was coming whenever I told her I was ready to leave, so I could stay..
But the thought of being with both of Jimin's perfect parents, eating dinner, makes me uncomfortable.
For some reason..
Jimin looked at her; she looked at him; His jaw and cheeks moved, I couldn't hear or see what he said by the angle I was in; her eyes clouded with coldness but quickly went back to normal. She took out a lollipop, she unwrapped it and placed it on top of Jimin's bottom lip; Jimin took the lollipop with his teeth and lips and leaned back.
"Alright then, I'll tell Abigail to cook dinner right now so you can take some home."
She gave Jimin a kiss on the cheek and walked away to the door.
"You don't have to do that, I'll be fine."
From my peripheral vision, Jimin was closing the box, throwing it on the floor, and slipping the bracelet on; she had a forced smile. It was obvious.
"It's no trouble, really. Continue what you two were doing." With that, she left. I looked over at Jimin. He was busy sucking on the lollipop and trying to cut out the the recorded part of when his parents came in.
"I like your new bracelet." I said to him to break the silence as I pulled out my phone and texted my mom to pick me up in like an hour or two.
He shrugged as I slipped my phone back in my pocket, "I have a ton of these so I don't really like it that much," he looked at me, "wanna see them?"
I nodded my head. Does he really have alot as he claims? Jimin got off of the bed and signalled me to follow him. I got off the bed and followed him to his walk-in closet.
He turned on the lights and led me to the very back, pushed away some of his hanged up clothes to reveal a door. The door was smaller than half the size of a regular door.
He twisted the knob and pulled the door open. "Come on, Jungkookie." He got on all fours and crawled in. I did the same and followed him in.
When I was inside, I looked around and it was another small closet, the difderence was: this one was full of hammers on sleves with different typed of bracelets, designs, colors, with that same hand with an eye, laying on top.
"Woah~"
Jimin helped me to get on my feet and I examined the room further. The wallpaper was different than the one from his actual closet. This one was black with tan white flower designs.
I got closer to the shelves and picked a bracelet up.
"It's a Hansa." I looked over at Jimin as he looked at the bracelet on his wrist currently. "It's an amulet that helps banish evil or any negative energy; to protect against the 'evil eye'. It also brings happiness, luck and good fortune to its owners."
"Isn't it used for mainly muslims and jews and for women?" I looked at him and saw him shrug.
"Yeah. My parents have been giving me these bracelets since I was born, on every 13th of the month."
I stepped closer to him, "And why?"
He looked at me and smiled, "I guess for what the Hansa is made for, so I wouldn't get myself into any trouble and always stay in the right path. They didn't want anything bad to happen to me."
Jimin picked up a small box that was on one of the shelves and opened it carefully. He picked up what was inside, a bracelet, and handed it over to me.
I took it from his hands.
It had the same Hansa, but this one instead of it just being a hand, it had different kinds of designs inside it. The bracelet was black and wrapped around dimonds. There was also a thick 'J' with 10/13 on the back of it.
"This one was the very first one my parents gave me. I want you to have it."
"Oh no, I can't--" Jimin dropped the box, walked towards me and embraced me with a hug.
I wrapped my arms around his small body as he layed his head on the crock of my neck, his hot breath tickling my neck as he talked, "It's for our friendship, so it can protect us against the "evil eye", also bring us happiness, luck and good fortune."
He leaned back, took the bracelet from my hand and wrapped it on my wrist.
I unwrapped my arms around Jimin and looked at my Topaz ring on my right hand on the ring finger. I took it off, took Jimin's right hand and slipped it on his ring finger.
"Jungkookie.."
"The gemstome is color Topaz. It symbolizes love and fidelity, and is said to bestow strength and intelligence on the person who wears it. My dad gave it to me when I was 10 for strength. Now I'm giving it to you, for our friendship, so it can stay strong."
Jimin admired the ring with a soft smile. He looked at me with a big smile and tears in his eyes.
"Jimin!--"
"I'm just so happy.. Even my friends have never done this.. its been long since I felt--" He embraced me with a hug again. "You're the best.."
He kissed my cheek as I was going to hug him back, but I froze in place. My whole body went hot except for the wet spot he left.
He let go and smiled lovingly, "Let's go finish our project." We crawled back out and finished recording the whole song successfully.
My mom had texted me she was already here to pick me up. Jimin led me out of his room, down the stairs and to the front door.
"Jungkookie!" I looked behind me to see Jimin's mother and the maid, Abigail, walking towards me.
The maid handed me a big container of food and I took it gladly amd bowed. "Thank you, Mrs. Park and Abigail."
"You're welcome, sweetie. Take care." Jimin's mother said to him.
Jimin lead me out of the door and closed it behind him. "See you at school, Jungkookie." Jimin said. I smiled, "yeah.... see you at school."
I walked away from him to the gate that was slowly opening. I reached my mom's car and got in.
"Hey, did you have fun?" My mom asked as she began to slowly drive away.
"Yeah.." I looked over at Jimin as he got in his house, almost
sulkingly.
