Dalton's POV
It's about 3PM the day after the mall. Normally Skylen will text me at like 8am but she hasn't yet today and I'm getting a little worried. I know it's nothing but last night she was getting sick. I texted her and she didn't answer. Then i called her and it went straight to voicemail. Now I'm even more worried. I decided to call her mom.
"Hello?" she answered
"Hi Mrs. Jones"
"Oh hey Dalton. What's up hun?"
"Nothing really. Well actually. I called Skylen and it went straight to voicemail. Is she okay?"
"I think she's still asleep. She woke up really early this morning at around 3 throwing up."
"Oh god. Can I come over?"
"Of course honey."
"Is there anything you need Mrs. Jones?"
"Um... I was about to get some ginger ale for Sky,"
"I'm on it."
"Ok be safe." and she hung up.
I got my keys and left. I stopped by the store to get ginger ale and a Twix because it's her favorite candy. As I was leaving I saw mean girls and remembered Skylen had never seen it. I bought it intently.
I got to Skylen's house and knocked on the door. "COME IN" i hear so i walk in. "Hey hun Skylen's in her room." Mrs. Jones greeted me. "Oh and here's a cup for the ginger ale." and smiled and took the cup and went up stairs. The door was half opened so I knocked slightly while pushing it open.
"Hey beautiful" i said while walking to her bed.
"Dalton what are you doing here?" she said with a sick voice.
"I brought you some stuff... Including... Mean girls"
"You're gonna get sick"
"Worth it!" i said kicking off my shoes and jumping on the bed next to her.
"You're too sweet."
"I know. Ok so i got you Twix, Twix, Twix, and some more Twix!" she laughed her amazing laugh while opening one of them and putting it in her mouth. "I also got mean girls of course. Which we will watch later. Ginger ale and mint chocolate chip ice cream and 2 spoons." I pulled out everything and set it in front of us.
"You know me too well." she said with a smile. She was paler than normal and her eyes puffy. Her hair was in a messy bun and she was wearing a tank top and sweatpants. She had no makeup on. And she is as beautiful as ever. I must have dozed off while looking into those beautiful blue/green eyes. They looked more blue today with silver specks. The most beautiful eyes I've ever seen and they belong to the most beautiful girl. My thoughts were interrupted by Skylen's hand waving in front of my face. "Dalton?"
"Yeah? sorry i was uh-"
"I Was saying thank you."
"Oh you're welcome." i leaned in and kissed her on her warm cheek.
"What shall we do first?" I asked
"You should hand me another Twix." I gave her a Twix and the cup of ginger ale. "Why thank you kind sir" she said with a fake British accent. "You're welcome my lady" i replied with my own horrible accent.
"How about we dig into that ice cream?" she said with a grin. "Or..." her mom said while walking into the room with 2 bowls of soup. "You can eat this soup."
"Is it your famous chicken and dumplings!?" Skylen asked excitedly. Mrs. Jones nodded and gave us the bowls. "Thanks mom!" Skylen yelled "thanks mom!" I yelled as well. She jokingly rolled her eyes and left. Unlike every other mom she actually closed the door.
Skylen dug into her soup looking so happy. I couldn't help but watch. "Dude eat this it's amazing!" she demanded. I took a bite and instantly fell in love. "Oh my god this is the most amazing thing ever!"
"I told you!" we sat there and eat in a comfy silence for 20 minutes enjoying the amazing chicken and dumplings her mom made.
"Ok now we talk" she said putting her bowl on the side table next to her.
"About...?" i asked
"Relationships. Well our relationship specifically."
"What about it?"
"What is it? Like what is this? Cuddling, always talking, holding hands..."
"I want to be your boyfriend. I've wanted to be since that day on the plane. You told me it was illegal. So I never asked. Then you kissed me then said something about your dad-"
"Forget about my dad-"
"Then forget about the law" I leaned in and kissed her. Not on cheek like I always do. She kissed me back. Sparks flew. I don't want it to end. It was the best kiss I've ever had. She pulled away still holding my shirt. "Dalton-"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Only if you hand me that ice cream."
I laughed and gave her the ice cream and spoons. "Is that a yes?"
"It's a heck yes!" we laughed and i pecked her lips. She took off the lid to the ice cream and We dug in.
"You know what would make this 10 times better?" she said with her mouth full of ice cream. "Mean girls?"
"Heck yeah!" i got her laptop from the desk and put in mean girls. We were watching and Skylen said out of the blew "i have a boyfriend now"
"Yes yes you do."
"I've never had one before."
"How has someone so beautiful never had a boyfriend?" she rolled her eyes
"What do you do when you have a boyfriend?"
"This" i put my hand on her cheek and pulled her to me. I kissed her and she kissed me back. We're making out. She pulled away "Dalton i am so sick"
"I so don't care." i leaned down where i was now on top of her. Our lips dancing like never before. I close the laptop with my foot so it would be quite. Suddenly the door swung open I looked up to see Ophelia standing in the doorway wide eyed. I sit up next to Skylen leaning against the wall behind her bed. "DALTON RAPATTONI WHAT THE FORK ARE YOU DOING?!?!" she yelled at me. Skylen started giggling like nobody's business. She's so adorable. "I believe i was kissing my girlfriend."
