"...And that, my dears, is the end of the story." My children started to applaud me for my story telling, asking for more. "I'm sorry, but that's it! That's the story."
"But Mumma!" my daughter, Dawn, whined as she crawled to me and tugged at my clothes. "That can't be it! What happened after that?" I only replied with a small smile before picking her up and placing her on my lap. Dawn was only five years old, and yet was more curious than her brothers ever were at her age. She had dirty-blonde hair with my E/C eyes and S/C skin, and was honestly the cutest thing ever.
"I don't know. Why don't you make it up yourselves?" I said as I began to tickle the little girl. She squealed in delight as I continued to tickle her until she gave in.

Once she had settled down, Matt, my seven year old son, said, "Wow! That was a cool story, Mum! Tell us another one!"
"Not today, honey," I replied, raising my hands in surrender, "Mummy has to go and do some chores before Daddy gets back.
"Aw..." he started to pout, which only made him more adorable than he all ready was. Matt was nearly the spitting image of his father, except for his hair - he got my H/C hair which had been cropped to look a little ruffled. He was a bit of a trouble maker, Matt. Always wanting to jump into action, regardless of how dangerous it could be. "I want to hear about how Mum bashes up bad guys, and her and Dad save the day by blowing things up!"
"Maybe another time. Remember, today we're going to meet up with Auntie Brenda, Uncle Thomas and Uncle Minho?" I replied, placing Dawn upon the ground so I could get up off my reading chair. Dawn and Matt both fist bumped the air as they ran to their rooms to get ready.

"We're you telling them the story again, Mum?" I turned to see my eldest son, Josh, standing in the doorway carrying plenty of chopped logs over his shoulders. Josh was thirteen going on fourteen soon, but he had shot up like a string bean in the past few months, almost reaching my height. Feeding him alone was a challenge, let alone feeding a family of five each night. He had the same eyes as I and the same coloured hair as I did. But he had gained his father's freckled complexion unlike the other two, who had my skin tone.
"Just because you've heard it a million times before, doesn't mean they can't as well," I said with a chuckle in my voice as I started packing away the toys that Dawn and Matt had left around the lounge room.

"I have not heard it a million times, thank you!" Josh shot back defensively while placing the chopped up logs on to the log stand.
"Sure you have," I said as walked over to him and pinched his cheeks teasingly, "you never stopped asking for your father and I to tell it when you were younger!"
"Aw, Mum!" I chuckled as he waved me away with his hands and rubbing his pinched cheeks.
"Go get ready, you don't want to miss out on the picnic, now do you?" Josh grumbled in agreement and made his way to his room to get ready.

As I stared after my son in admiration of the time that has flown by, I didn't notice my husband enter the house until his arms were wrapped around my middle and pulling me close.
"Hello, Love," Newt mumbled into my ear as he kissed my right cheek from behind. I sighed in content as he turned me around to face him, smiling as I kissed his freckled nose.
"Hello, to you too, Newtie," he smiled at his nickname and hugged me tighter. But I remembered what we were meant to be doing and pulled away.
"We should go get ready, we don't want to keep everyone waiting."
"Aw, why not, Y/N?" Newt whined after me as I headed for Dawn's room. Although she was five years old and was starting to learn to clothe herself, she still needed help.
"Because we've talked about this day for weeks now, and I'm not going to let you make us late because you don't want to go anywhere." And that was the end of that. Newt just smiled cheekily and went into our room while I walked into Dawn's room to help her get into her new sunflower patterned dress that Milly had made for her birthday.

Milly - my goodness. The little, dirty-blonde haired girl that I had met ages ago wasn't so little anymore. Milly had grown up to be a fine young lady that had caught the eye of some young boys. When she first started dating, Newt wasn't too happy about it, but soon let off a little with a little persuasion from me. Anyway, Milly found a guy called Mark, and they soon were engaged after only a few weeks of dating. Six months later, they were married, and six months after that, they found out that they were to be expecting a baby. Milly is now seven months pregnant, but she won't tell anyone what gender the baby is! It's all a mystery, but I guess she wants it to be surprise.
