~Airport~
Once Kataki shoved me out of the taxi and paid, he pulled me toward the airport. Lucky I didn't bring a big bag, just a small suitcase with my laptop, drawings( I couldn't leave them!), few photos and clothes. I also packed my hairbrush and my $350 from my sales and savings just in case.
The airport was huge. Despite that I was here often, nearly every summer, this place always makes me wonder how they built it from just plans and models. That's was one argument why I joined STEM, to learn how they did it. And to find something to do without wasting my time.
Despite it being summer, there weren't many people inside which I was glad for as places with loads of people aren't my cup of tea.
"Speed up Ela or we will be late!" Kataki yelled at me as he pulled me toward check out.
"Alright, alright!" I rolled my eyes as I sped up.
In all rush, I couldn't enjoy the beauty of the building; Kataki basically pulled me behind him like I was some kind of suitcase. All I could notice was the polished floor and huge windows plus a blur of white, silver and grey. Note to myself, Kataki can somehow run 50km/h despite not looking like an athlete.
Once we finally sat on our plane, I just took my sketchbook and my pencil case and started doodling. As I finished a doodle of a bird, Kataki peeked over, therefore receiving a prize of another slap from me.
"Ouch! Why you hit me nooooow?" He yelped in pain which caused his neko ears to fall down, sticking to his hair, like real cat ears would do.
"There is a thing called privacy you know." I rolled my eyes as I closed my sketchbook.
"Speaking of sketching, fill this in." He said, massaging the hit spot as he handed me a piece of paper.
I took it and looked at it. It was a general application sheet where you put your name, surname, age blah blah blah. I filled it quickly but got stuck on the last question. A question that said:
Do you possess any inhuman abilities?
A. What kind of question is that? B. Should I really trust him enough to tell him about my predictions?
"Ehm, Kataki?" I poked him on a shoulder as he was looking in front of him.
"How can Oken Kataki help you?" He beamed out.
"What do you mean by, 'Do you posses any inhumane abilities?'?" I asked and he replied with a laugh. "What's so funny?"
"What's funny is that that question means what it means. Example, if you are a Spirit Medium, or have Sharp like animal senses." Kataki explained.
So I guess I qualify...? But should I say so or just lie...
"If you think about lying to me, good luck. Maybe I can't read lies like that Prosecutor from where you live, but I can still do it." He grinned and chuckled as I stared at him. "Will ya tell your Uncle Kataki your secret then?"
I sapped him for that comment.
"Ouch ;;"
"Anyway... I guess I can-"I started saying but then someone else started speaking.
"Good evening everyone, this is your pilot speaking. Thank you for picking the Kōkūkaisha Airlines for your journey." A male pilot started speaking." We will arrive to The Kingdom of Khura'in in approximately 10 hours, so around 6am."
