Author's note

This is happening after the 'cross-examination' of Ca'merah Mann.

We walked out of the Detention Centre in silence, and when we got out of the old building Nathan spoke up... In theory... Technically it was his stomach that spoke up, getting everyone know about its hunger.

"Welp, I guess that was expected... I didn't get anything since I got up... Hehe..." He explained, his voice mixed with awkwardness as his eyes turned green and yellow, followed by the same coloured aura.

"No breakfast or anything?" Kataki chuckled.

"Well, at least Nathan CAN cook, not like you." I teased him, leaning toward him with a smug smile on my face.

"Don't make me remember yesterday..." He sweatdropped.

"Hey, how about we go back to the place me and Ludo are staying for a bit? I can cook us a meal there and we can then discuss what we have for tomorrow's trial."He suggested, his eyes literally saying the words 'pride' and 'brag'. "I'm a pretty decent cook, if I can say so myself."

"Well, I wouldn't mind some more grub so sure! Count me in!" Kataki agreed, as he forgot about my roast and started smiling.

"No objections from my side either." Sakura added.

"Then let's go!" I said as Nathan smiled a little and started showing us way to the hotel he and Ludo were staying in.

After few minutes of walking with some casual, forced, chat we arrived at the hotel. The hotel itself looked as old as the Detention Centre and other buildings-or maybe that's just a style of architecture here; the only thing that looked more decent was a small garden with Nahmanda flowers, similar to the one's in front of court room.

As we walked in, we followed Nathan through stairs and a small corridor till he finally stopped and opened the door to one of the rooms.

"Sorry for mess... I'm too worried about Ludo to actually clean this up properly." Nathan sweatdropped as I noticed a pile of books on one of beds and some dirty clothes lying around.

Their room was, indeed, pretty cramped with their luggage, some books and other things; it was also messy but it seemed like a luxury after a month and a bit of cleaning and renovating Kataki's office. Beige walls were shining as the late sun peeked through a small window in front of us. There were few Khurainese pictures around, mainly those of Holy Mother and other Gods, scattered here and there across the walls.

"Well, this is one thing you and Kataki share in common." I joked as I entered the room.

"Ela, This joke is as bas as DC Act..." Kataki sighed as he tried to retaliate, but failed.

"Feel free to look around while I'll go and make us a meal." Nathan then grabbed a plain apron from near by and walked to what I assumed, was kitchen.

"Well then!" Kataki at instant, happily purred as he started looking around like a cat looking for a catnip.

"There is something called 'Privacy' Kataki..." Sakura sweatdropped.

[Pile of Books]<--[Laptop][Luggage]

I rolled my eyes as I looked at one of the beds, it was covered by a lot of books in thick covers and colourful introduction pages. I walked toward it and picked up the first-best book I laid my eyes on.

"The really like reading, that's for sure." I commented.

"Or those are just Khurainese books that every hotel room has." Sakura argued.
