>>>Important Info<<<
I AIN'T ALLOWING THIS TO END UP LIKE THE SECRETS OF IKEBUKURO! Anyway, yes I didn't write for good 2 weeks now, and I'm sorry. I just lost my spirit for writing which mean, less chapters. Of course I will still try to publish them, for sure I'll write up a Christmas Special!!! It's just they won't be as often as before...
Also, if you do not care about my work, why are you even liking this post anyway? Just asking because I'm curious.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The strength I lost all of sudden, started to slowly pour into my body, making my already open eyes analyse where I was as I also tried to remember what happened before I lost my consciousness. With my vision still blurry, I looked around, trying to identify anything from unclear and mixed shapes around me; all I figured out was that I was no longer in the alley, but inside a room of sorts. The couch I was sitting on was giving off a nice and comfy feeling along with a faint smell of freshly grained coffee. I could also hear a hazy sound of someone's voice.
'Where am I and, what happened...?'
"E-a!"I've heard someone's smudged voice call me and as I glanced, slightly moving my head left, as my vision started to focus more, like a lens in a camera.
But before my vision could even focus properly on whoever was calling out to me, my caller jumped on me before hugging me tightly, his black ears twitching as he started purring, making it much more easier to figure out who was my caller.
'Kataki...'
"Ela!"My hearing finally focused enough for me to hear his words clearly."Don't scare me like that!"
"What even happened...?"I proceeded to ask, trying to get Kataki away from me, as my face started to change from calm beige into bland violet.
"W-Well..."He stuttered, before un-hugging(Is this is even a word?) me."When I was about to apologise to you for my reaction, and for that new bruise on your arm, you suddenly just collapsed, except your eyes were still open... Weird right?"He awkwardly smiled.
After he finally un-hugged me, I was finally able to breathe and to identify where I was; it seemed I was lying on the couch in Kataki's office living room, while the sky outside already disappeared, leaving the outside flightless and hopeless. Was Kataki really able to carry me all the way here in this darkness? I mean he can run 50km/hour but he doesn't look like someone who could lift things just like that, especially when he reacts the way he reacts to my attacks.
"I 'collapsed with open eyes'? You mean I was unconscious with open eyes?" I asked, confused as he nodded, also in confusion."And yet, I'm not surprised..."I sweatdropped.
"I guess that's just a thing Aura Guardians have..."He shrugged and then gave me a thumb up."Get used to it!"
"This isn't a thing I would like to reoccur..."I awkwardly replied.
"Well still, get used to it!"He repeated, emitting yellow aura with a small bit of light blue aura.
"... AAAAnyyyywaaaayyyy...."I rolled my eyes as I looked up at Kataki."Are you still mad?"
"Mad for what? You mean for your sudden 'suicide mission'?"He laughed out.
"I may be inexperienced, and they might have evidence on him or EVEN an eye witness for all I care! I will still defend him!"I said, my body pulsing with determination."I believe, no- I KNOW he's innocent!"
And again, with this subject flying around our office, a tension flew in, leaving heavy smog, lazily moving around us; I swear no one spoke a word for good five minutes, minutes we spent on just glancing on each other, twiddling our thumbs, trying to figure out the proper way to slice through the heavy tension.
"I'm not gonna lie, I'm still against your decision..." Kataki said, his face as straight as grave as he sliced through the tension, yet again."But you are already 'an adult' so you can decide what you will do and who you will defend, but there is one thing you can not control..."
"W-Which i-is...?"I asked, fear filling my body for no reason, as I tried to figure out what my mentor could mean.
"You can't control my decision! My decision of defending him with you!"He replied with a beaming smile, a smile that caused all the leftover tension to suddenly disappeared."There is no way that I will allow you to defend him without your trusty and wise mentor!"
"W-Weren't you saying he's guilty?! You want to risk your life just because I've decided to defend him?!" I cried out in disbelief, trying to figure out what he was thinking."If I will die, nothing major happens, if YOU would die your office would go into ruin again and there would be one attorney chief less!"
"And what? Isn't a mentor's job to keep an eye on a young apprentice?"He joked, punching my arm delicately, with a smile.
"You really are an Enigma..."
"And you are Pandora's Box!"
SLAP!
"Ouch ;;"
