Clary Pov.

I was sat upstairs brushing through my hair as I thought about last night.

in the early hours of the morning, when it was still dark out, I woke up and felt a warm presence beside me. Jace. I tilted my head back slightly, looking through the darkness, to get a better look at our position, My right arm was on his chest (where my head had once been), my right leg was wrapped around his left, I was pressed right against him and his arm was wrapped around me protectively. I thought about moving, but that thought soon disappeared as I looked at his face: his lips were slightly separated, his eyes lids twitching and his eyebrows relaxed, how could I disturb such a sleeping beauty. I wasn't going to, instead, i rested my head on his head and cuddled in closer to this golden angel of a boy. Soon the dark room drifted into nothing.

I smiled as the thought of Jace sleeping crossed my mind.

I made my way over to my closet freshly stocked with all my newly bought clothes, I decided I was in a comfy mood. I slide into some black ripped jeans, I paired it with a long gray wooly jumper, layered over a dark gray cami. "Jace, are you ready to go?" as I asked as I walked into the living room. He was facing the fire place and I walked over to lean over his shoulder to see what he was so focused on. "You were a cute kid," he said not looking back at me. he was holding a picture from when I was 14, my mom's first boyfriend was in LA, so we traveled there and that was on the first day. my mom and I were laughing because she had just wiped some of the ice cream she had in her hand on my nose. I smiled and looked at my watch.

"it's 6:30 we are gonna be late," I exclaimed as I snatched the photo from Jace's hands placing it back on the mantel before dragging him out the door.

we were in the car racing to his house when we hit a red stop light, I looked over to see him staring at me with a big goofy grin on his face. "What's that face for?" I said poking him in the chest.

"What face?" he said coyly

"That one." I laughed pointing to his face.

"This is my happy face." he laughed turning on the radio on. my favorite song came on and I couldn't help but sing a long.

when we arrived at the Lightwoods, I went and sat in the kitchen and Jace ran upstairs to take a shower. I decided I needed coffee but if Jace was right I wasn't going to wait for Isabelle to make it so I made a fresh pot and found some travel mugs. I poured some in for each of us.

"What smells so good?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind me toward the door. "Oh hey Clary when did you get here," Alec said as I turned around

"Not long, Jace let me in and I made coffee," I said handing him a mug, he looked at it dubiously before lifting it to his lips. As he tasted the coffee his eyes lit up. most likely in surprise. "Where did you learn to make such good coffee?" he asked as Jace and Izzy walked in conversing among themselves.

"I worked at a little Café in Florida over the summer." I smiled as I pushed Jace and Izzy's mugs to them. "You can drink them on the way we gotta go," I announced walking out the door.

"Clary, this is amazing!" Izzy exclaimed as she jumped in the car.

we got to school and headed to class when the bell rang. I walked into my History class and saw Jace smiling up at me. He patted the seat next to him. "Were you saving this seat for me?" I asked as I walked towards him.

"Of course." he beamed. Seconds later our teacher Mr. Starkweather walked in and began teaching. During class, several girls glared at me, I suspected because Jace had saved the seat for me and probably rejected their chances of sitting there.

"So the first match of the season is tonight, will you come?" Jace asked as Mr. Starkweather was explaining the industrial revolution. I turned my attention to him and smiled.

"Of course, we are all going. Me, Maya, Izzy, Simon, Alec and his boyfriend, Magnus." I replied. I could see the excitement in his eyes, how his adrenaline was pumping just from thinking about it, I couldn't help but laugh. A blush washed over his face and he had a shy smile.

"You really love football don't you?" I quizzed later as we walked out of class, his eyes had a hint of sadness. "Yeah I do, my Dad taught me how to play when I was young. He would tell me all about how he played in high school and college. It's my dream to play for a national team." he smiled gently as he thought of the memories. His eyes sparkled as his he spoke of his dreams.

That night my friends and i went to the football game, we cheered and screamed at the top of the lungs when ever The Alicante Shadowhunters (Our team name) scored and yelled "Go Jace!" whenever Jace had the ball. By the end, we had won, 27 to 42, Jace scoring a lot of them. While we waited for Jace to change we made plans to go out for Pizza.

"Good match you two" Izzy yelled as Jace and his best friend Sebastian Verlac walked toward us. "Thanks" Sebastian replied.

"So we are going for Pizza, Jace you don't have a choice but Seb, do you want to join?" Alec smiled as he bro hugged Jace.

"Sure, sounds good." Seb nodded.

We all began walking down the road toward the Pizza place not far away. The cold night breeze tingled against my skin, Jace saw me shivering and slid his Varsity jacket and wrapped it over my shoulders. i closed the front and snuggled into the jacket.
