The wildest groves
The coolest streams
All are home
To nature's grief
For Pan is gone
And the wild lost
On one fine day
Today we mourn for
The god we lost
The Great Pan
Is dead tonight
They searched and searched
For nature's call
But had no answer at all
Pan, the great Lord of the Wild
Has been lost, to all who sorrow
We lost a god in dawn's first light
The Great Lord gone
Just like a dream at midnight
