I don't know if we need any more proof than this that Varian has a crush on Cassie.
I mean, others may argue that since his idol is Flynn Rider, he was trying out some moves that imitated Flynn's on the nearest girl that wasn't the princess, but here is my argument.
1. "You chose me"- when Cassandra saves Varian from another invention gone wrong (two straight Varian episodes where that happened), he says "you chose me," and he is genuinely surprised, though the way he says it is just, like, "whoa, I didn't know you would save me. But thanks, 'cause I like you." (Honestly, I read so much into so many things but I can't explain them properly... dang it all!)
2. Cassandrium- I mean, I love my friends a lot, but I wouldn't name an element I had just invented after them, you know? (I personally would've named it after myself. Still.) It was really selfless when Varian named his new element Cassandrium.
3. "Cassie"- self-explanatory, I think. I mean, cute nicknames are totally couple things, in my opinion. So...
4. Here's what I'm excited about- Jeremy Jordan's Tweets (I just discovered them, so...) kind of confirm Varian's feelings. And only Jeremy can confirm that, because, I mean, he IS Varian!

And BAM! "I love you! Almost as much as Varian loves Cassie ;)" is kind of sort of confirmation and just AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH (rabid fangirl noises all around).
Also: I need an opinion. Do you guys think I should write an epilogue starring Jack Kelly? See, I had the thought that Jack Kelly could possibly be a descendant of Varian and Cass, and I wanted to see your reactions to the idea. I mean, it's not a bad idea, is it?
