we are on a plane, this plane is special because it only has one seat and it is on autopilot. it does not have a destination written down. i use my mind to create the destination of where i want to go and it takes me there.
We all yearn for a place to be ourselves, a place where no one will judge us and we are all equal.
the place that i wish to go to is a place where dreamers can dream as many dreams as we can and not be stopped by a wall.
in this place that i wish to go, mothers and fathers are not torn away from their sons and daughters. in this place there are not people who are trying to tear apart families.
in this place children are given the opportunities to make their dreams a reality.
in this place, there is hope and love. there is no room for hate, there is no room the shattering of lives.
this place is made for the unwanted, for the dreamers. this place is made for the ones who want to make something out of themselves.
this place is made for the ones who are first in their family to take a chance. the ones who were scared to give it a chance, the ones who dare to dream and soar high in the sky. they may have fear but who does not have fear. this place will one day become reality. this place will be made and it will not be torn down.
we have worked long and hard in this country to be thrown away like a piece of garbage.
they call us criminals, thieves, drug dealers and rapist. they do not know how easy they have it.
we are dreamers, we are not thieves, we do not steal anything. we risk everything to be here, we cannot walk the streets without being discriminated and talked down.
