I hear the music, I see the lights.
I feel the beat of the drum, I see the sweat of her brow.
I see her footsteps and they do not follow the beat of the drum.
She is sweating because people can see her. this is her first time she came out on public.
i walk towards her and we lock eyes. She is nervous, i grab her hand and lead her towards the dance floor.
She is has rock-like characteristics, I grab her waist and she got less nervous.
I feel her hands going around my back and neck. we begin to dance to a song only we can hear. i turn her, she swirls in her beautiful lilac dress.
As i stare into her soul i begin to fall in love with her, i grab her by the waist and pull her closer.
i grab her face and wipe away her tears, she said i reminded her of her father, the way he grabbed her when she was three before the man took him away.
we go outside for a walk and she then began to look at the sky and say, "He is looking out for me, i know he is."
im holding her hand while she smiles at the moon, we hear a car come by and everything went by too quick.
i was holding her hand while she held onto her life. She did not want to lay on the floor because that was the last time she saw her dad smile at her.
she smiled at me as i gave her a kiss. i felt warm behind her back, her lilac dress is no longer pure
i told her she was going to see her dad soon, she smiled and said "Thank you."
i held her weight as we danced to a song, a song only we knew.
