9/8/17

He waited for a final bell to ring and release him from this treacherous prison. It rang out difiantly and out rushed a plethora of teens, all looking as tired and pissed off as he was. He fell into the four different lines leading out the school. Each one meticulously straight with jaded faces and bodies rigid.

He followed the line out the door to the courtyard where kids dressed just like him were standing waiting for a bus to come and pick them up. No one talked and you could only hear the shuffles of the students still pouring out of the school.

A grey bus arrived and in single file lines they filled into the seats sitting two to a seat, one boy and one girl. There was still an unnerving silence hanging in the air that made you want to squirm.

Once he was seated with a girl beside him he gingerly held out his large hand for her to take. She slowly took it and the sat there with expressionless faces hiding their hands from view. They both knew it was dangerous to do such things of thing in public, but it was not nearly as bad as what they both did after curfew.

The bus stopped in front of the boy's house and he slowly raised from his seat and exited the bus making sure to shuffle his feet before he stepped off the bus.

His neighborhood was a collection of houses that all looked the same. Noteting that this was in fact his house he wiped his feet on the door mat and stepped inside. The living room was just as dull as the outside of his house.

He walked down the bland hallway to his room. Stepping inside all you could see was books, wall to wall were shelves upon shelves of books. He shut and locked his door and opened his window. Letting the small breeze come into his room he plucked a book off one of the many shelves and started to read.

Hours later he was called to dinner and he quickly put the books back on one of the shelves. He unlocked his door and stepped out shutting his door before leaving. He walked to the kitchen and sat down and unfolded his napkin.

Dinner was over and he retreated back to his room. He opened his door and was unsurprised to see the girl from earlier sitting on his bed. He shut his door and locked it tightly. That was when he broke his facade and grinned widely.Taking long strides over to her he tackled her in a hug and started to kiss all over her face.
