Amelia sat at the small table in the room with her recently purchased laptop open, inputting the data from the books they discovered in the tunnel and the bookstore. Logan sat on the bed with pen and paper while his new laptop was turned so they could both see the screen and the video conference they were having with the team back at The Castle.

"Hey Daniel," Logan said. "What did you find on those tapes?"

"Not as much as you'd think man. It appears to be a legitimate business. With the exception of the top floor and strange elevator. I have different programs shifting through the tapes, looking for specific things. Thankfully, they can work faster and more efficiently than a human can. I started with Jay-Six and branched out from there. The interesting thing is Jay-Six has only been to this building on two separate occasions."

"That's hard to believe," Amelia paused from inputting the data. "How far back have you been able to go?"

"Only five years so far. There is more, but the technology is different, and I have to work up a new program."

"Doesn't it strike anyone else as odd that Jay-Six was only there twice in that time frame?" Bill paced in and out of the video feed. "You would think to have access to the tunnels below he would be there more."

"Maybe they just started using the tunnels?" Mariam said.

"We weren't down there long enough to determine how long they've been using it." Logan stretched his legs out. "Was there anything else you found on those tapes?"

Mariam consulted her notes. "We've used facial recognition on the employees and doing background checks on the ones we could match up. Within a few days, we should have all of them and their information. So far everyone seems legitimate, with nothing questionable in their pasts. Which of course, makes me question everything."

"And let me tell you," Daniel said. "There are some scorching hot women who work in that office. I've volunteered to take them out on dates, using company funds, of course, just to, you know, get to know them better and see if I can dig up any dirt."

Sighing Mariam threw papers at Daniel. "Why don't you give it a rest?"

"Guys gotta keep trying for true love, right Logan?"

Amelia couldn't stop herself from peeking at Logan out of the corner of her eye to see what Logan's reaction would be. She should have known he wouldn't let his emotions out.

"I think," Logan said. "We need to look deeper and not just on the surface. We know what kind of bells and whistles we have when it comes to technology. We have to assume they have the same, if not better. For all, we know that elevator is being used, and we can't see it."

Daniel nodded. "After I finish with this analysis cycle I'll expand my base, see if there is anything I'm missing."

"Good plan," Bill said. "I find it very interesting that they are using the book to get information out to their operatives. Books are everything, nothing out of the ordinary there. Amelia, have you been able to make any sense out of the words?"

"Not yet." Amelia continued to enter the words in the program without looking up. "They are random, they make no sense, they don't go together. Of course, we're also assuming Welman highlighted all the correct words for us. What I'd like to do is when we get back to The Castle scan the pages in and verify them against the original stories. Because as good as this guy was, he could still make a mistake."

"True. Once you get everything in send it to Daniel, he'll be able to put it into a program, and we'll figure it out. I'm curious to what they are trying to say. I hope we aren't going to need a cypher."
