Ch 13 Leviathan bay

The Dread Yacht landed on the shore where the gillmen had set up a camp to stay in. The team jumped off the ship and made their way to the stone circle with the Spouts, Lewt following close behind. "The twin spouts of Atlantica", Eon began, "Forged from the scales of the Leviathan, place in on the center of the circle please." Cynder flew to the core, and gently set the spouts onto the center, they twisted into place, no one could see it, but everyone could hear the klinking of metal as pipes set themselves in place under the circle.

"Now we can harness the eternal water source!" Hugo said exitedly, "according to both the telescope and the blueprints, the source is part of the ocean on the shores of Leviathan bay, home of the Leviathan. Lewt scuttled up to Hugo, "I can help! I was born there, while I am mostly an Earth type, I can show them the safest path!" "Uh, thank you mister crab", said Hugo, "According to the blueprints, you'll need to unite four seahorse shaped statues at the alter of water at the center of the island in order to find the water source, so please hurry!"

It took a long while for the ship to reach the bay, Flynn landed the ship close to the alter (surprisingly without smashing it). The alter was shaped like a clam shell with four slots arranged in front of it, but the slots were empty. "Where are the statues?" Asked Spyro, the group turned to see squid faced brutes camping out along the islands that made up the bay, one of them was holding up one of the small statues, all of his comrades began to attack him, obviously they were fighting over it. "Those crooked calimari faces have them!" Shouted Spyro, then he faceplamed, "I didn't just say that, did I?" He asked in an embarrassed tone. "Yes, you did!" His three friends said in sync. "Ok, we'll go after them!" Said Lewt, "but we need to travel together, the Leviathan lives here, and being alone is a bad mistake." Everyone nodded, and Followed Lewt across a wooden bridge.

They carefully went from island to island, taking back each of the statues. The first 3 were easy, but just as they tried getting the last one, a little devil ran past them and ran off with the statue. "Hey, get back here you thief!" Spyro yelled, he quickly flew off in hot pursuit. "Hey, don't go alone!" Yelled Flameslinger, he quickly chased after them. They chased the little jerk all the way to the edge of the island, the devil tripped, dropped the statue, and rolled off of the edge, only to be eaten by the Leviathan. Spyro and Flameslinger briefly looked at each other in shock, then headed back to the alter with the others. They each put a statue into a slot, the eyes on the sea horses began glowing, causing the stone clam to open, revealing a teal pearl, the pearl briefly shone, causing the water near the island's edge to bubble and swirl.
Soon, the eternal water source revealed itself, just as the cadets went to retrieve it, Kaos' appeared.

"Do you fool really think I'll let you get away with the source that easily!?" He laughed miniacaly, "well my water element minions have something to say about that!" All of a sudden, four pitch black figures appeared, they all pulsed with a strange teal energy. One was a troll wielding some kind of ice gun, there was also  a crow wielding a cross bow, there was a Mummy covered in mold and soaking wet, and last but not least, a walrus with blade hands.
"Attack!" The evil portal master snapped, without hesitation they evil group practically lunged at them.

The battle was fierce, as Spyro took on the troll, he dodged his icey attacks and spit fire into the behemoth's face until the corrupt minion popped into some kind of energy. He turned to see how his friends were doing just in time to see Cynder zap the mummy into oblivion, Stealth elf out slash the walrus, and Flameslinger out shoot the crow. Kaos was furious. "FINE TAKE THE STUPID WATER SOURCE!" He yelled in his frustration, he then just teleported back to his lair.

The four friends looked at each other, "Geez, that was too easy!" Said Spyro, breaking the silence. "Easy or not, we need to get this back to the core," replied Stealth elf, "let's just get back!" Her four comrades agreed and climbed aboard the Dread Yacht, on a course set for the academy.
