1. How do you self identify your gender, and what does that mean to you?
I don't really think I need a label for my gender identity but if I had to choose one I'd probably say I'm a genderflux transboy. That is to say I'm a boy most of the time but my gender identity is fluid. Imagining gender as a spectrum my gender mostly ranges over the male part of that spectrum and also the agender part. So it ranges between agender and demi-boy and male.
I'm fine with all pronouns though I think I prefer he/him and they/them.
So, what does my gender identity mean to me?
It's really not the most important part of my life. I am just a person with hobbies and interests and stuff and I don't care much about gender.
Also, I don't really feel like I was born in the wrong body or something. I actually like my body and I'm somewhat comfortable with it. Still, there are some parts of my body who feel like they developed into the wrong direction. I don't have the most feminine body though, so I think I'm kind of lucky in this regard.
2. Describe the style of clothing that you most often wear.
Well, that's simple. Jeans, printed t-shirts, sometimes button-ups and either sandals, trainers or hiking boots (depending on the weather).
3. Talk about your choices with body hair. How do you style your hair? Do you have facial hair?
What's a hair style? I literally just comb my hair every morning witout further styling.
I don't have facial hair because I never went through male puberty. That's somehow convenient because I don't have to shave my face. :'D
4. Have you ever experienced being misgendered? If so, how often?
I was misgendered in all the ways one could imagine.
When I was about twelve or thirteen years old kids at school used to call me an "ugly boy" and "neuter" to insult me on a regular basis, although they didn't know anything about trans* or non-binary identities (I didn't know either) and I was assigned female at birth.
Some years later, after realizing I didn't feel like a girl and cutting of my hair, people started to be confused wether I was a boy or a girl or something else. Some use he/him pronouns and some use she/her pronouns. I don't care anymore because I'm fine with all pronouns. :-)
5. Do you experience dysphoria? How does that affect you?
Yes, I've experienced dysphoria.
Sometimes I could not handle the fact that I have a female body. And the fact that I get my period every month is annoying as hell.
Sometimes I feel like my voice is way to high and sometimes I think I look like a thirteen-year-old instead of a seventeen-year-old.
But it doesn't affect me and my everyday life as much as it does for others.
6. Talk about children. Are you interested in having any?
I really like children.
But I know that I don't want to conceive a child. I don't even think I'd like to adobt one.
I'm more likely do become the zany uncle or babysitter and I think that suits me way better. :-D
7. Talk about money. Is it important to you to provide for a family financially?
Since I don't plan on starting a family this isn't that important for me.
8. Anything else you want to share about your experience with gender?
Don't feel forced to identify with a certain gender. Be yourself. Don't feel forced to come out if you don't want to. It's up to you wether you think somebody should know.
Also, gender roles are bullshit and sports, hobbies, jobs and clothes have no gender. For example, one can like dresses and Disney movies and still identify as male.
Again: Be yourself and do what makes you happy! :-D
