  Joey's POV- 8:00AM
'Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, BOOM'

  "Uuuggghhhh"

Why does Monday have to be a thing? I looked over my bed to find my alarm clock that I flung off my end table shattered to pieces.

"Uuugggghhh"

There goes another one. Thank goodness I don't use my phone as an alarm.

I rolled out of my bed and landed on all the dirty clothes cushioning the floor. I looked at them wondering if I should just grab something and go.

  Nah.

I got up and went to my closet — that I still haven't finished filling with my clothes — to pick something out. I'm gonna look snazzy for the first day of school, girls love a good first impression.

After sitting on my bed for around 25 minutes, listening to everyone leave the house and start their back to school lives, just staring at my closet, I decided on the perfect outfit. Jeans and a t-shirt, can never go wrong with that. The jeans were dark blue and the t-shirt was white and loose fitting. I was proud of my outfit and looking at it in the mirror when I saw the reflection of my alarm clock flicker to life for a split second.

Oh lord, please tell me I didn't see that right. I checked my phone, and the time on my alarm clock was right. It's 8:26. Crap! School starts at 8:30! So much for a good first impression.

I sprinted down the stairs, almost tripping on an unpacked box, grabbed an apple and started hightailing to school.

It's a 10 minute walk, so I should make it there in around 5 if I run.... Man, I should really wake up earlier.

I got to the school parking lot right as the bell was ringing. Whatever, fashionably late. I strutted up the steps to the door and stopped to look up at my new school, Edgewater high.

Well, I guess it's as good a place as any to die inside.

As I put my hand on the door handle I heard footsteps behind me, so I turned to see who it was. My jaw dropped when I saw the smmmoken hot girl that was now only 5 feet away from me. She's on the shorter side, even for a girl, but I can't really talk. I'm only 5'7". She's wearing ripped jeans and a black top that says "I hate people" on it.

  Well she seems friendly.

I then realized that behind her head of jet black, wavy hair was a police officer that was strolling up a few steps away. Wow, she must be really friendly.

She looked up from her phone that she had been typing away on. "You gonna go in or what? You're blocking the door."

"Oh, um sorry." I said as I opened the door and stood aside so she could go in.

The police officer then said, "Now, you go straight home after school, if you don't, I'll hear about it."

She rolled her icy blue eyes and nodded, then walked through the door.

I was about to ask her name when I saw the necklace she was wearing that said "SAM". Well I guess I don't need to ask.

Once we were both inside, "So, what's your first class?", I asked out of curiosity.
