And there I was again,
Jailed in the memories of you.
Without you I'm surely insane
This life ain't no place for the brokenhearted.
How could you treat me so cruel?
Where is the love that burned so hot we once perspired?
Where's the flame that shone so brightly
we blinded others?
Weren't you the one who once told me,
This life ain't no place to be brokenhearted?
How could you burn me so cold?
Left me for dead without cause?
What has happened to your beautiful soul?
Why don't you love me anymore?
I'm taking this blade and slicing till red
And lie here and wait till my body's dead
My love you took me for granted
I rather die than live a brokenhearted.
