(Rose's POV)

Me and Ethan talked for while. Then, for a split second, there was silence...

Guns began going off in the next room and lasted several minutes. After they stopped, we saw the doors open and all of our friends come in. It consisted of Mark, Felix, Tyler, Bob, Wade, and the girls. Ethan saw Tyler first. I saw Mark.

"Tyler!!" Ethan yelled.
"ETHAN!!" Tyler squealed happily. "You're okay!!"

He ran to us, along with Mark and Felix. After they got us out, Mark hugged me tightly and I saw Ethan and Tyler doing something I never expected... They were kissing.
I knew Tythan was a thing! And to be quite honest, it was really cute. Afterwards, they smiled at each other, and all of them went to take off our collars.

"Don't move," we heard a scientist say.

We turned to see that bastard, Hainan, holding a gun up. He had a few guys with him. Tyler and Mark went for their guns, but that's when I felt the shock pierce my neck. He shocked me and Ethan.
They freaked and ran to us. Mark tried to take off mine, only for the shock intensity to get higher. Me and Ethan both fell to our knees. They finally stopped and there was a short moment of silence...

"Take yer fookin' finger off that button or I won't fookin' hesitate tuh' shoot yer ass."

Jack. Just in time. I saw Team Edge with gunpoint on the scientists. Jack looked at Mark and Tyler, who took off the collars. Mine and Ethan's necks were swollen from them.

"I will find you again, Rose," Hainan smiled. "Don't think this is over."
"But it is," Tyler growled, shooting him in the head.

(Mark's POV)

I was shocked. I knew Tyler was pissed about Ethan, but damn! I never expected him to actually shoot someone!
I began to check Rose for wounds. And trust me, she had a bunch. So did Ethan.

"Are you okay," I asked.

She couldn't respond. Her throat was probably throbbing from the severe shock she went through. I understood and we went home. Jack drove the van, with all of us in it, back to my house.
Tyler held Ethan there entire way, making me smile. Looks like J-Fred owes me five bucks. I bet him five dollars that Ethan and Tyler would get together.

"Hey, J-Fred," I smiled.
"What?" He asked.
"Look."

He looked and he sighed, reaching into his pocket.

"Dammit," he laughed.
"What," Ethan asked, him and Tyler confused.
"Mark and I bet each other five bucks to see if you guys ever got together... He won."

(Rose's POV)

As they were talking, I suddenly felt super seductive. I couldn't control myself. Hell, I didn't even know what I was doing.

"Uh, Rose?" Mark blushed.

I looked up, only to see my hands on his chest. His face was as red as a cherry.

"Oh..." Ethan sighed. "Mark, she's in heat."
"What the fuck do you mean, heat?"
"It's kinda like how a female cat gets really seductive and clingy. I heard the scientists talking about it."
"Oh, so she still has a period, but instead of anger, she gets seductive and stuff?"
"Pretty much."
"Okay... Is there anything I can do to keep her from trying to do something?"
"You know how girls like to eat chocolate when they're on their 'things'?"
"Ah. Give her chocolate and she'll stop being seductive?"
"Yeah. I've read up on that online."
"Welp... Looks like I'm gonna have to go to the store..."
"BTW, Mark, this only happens about once or twice out of the year for a week."
"Oh. So this isn't monthly?"
"Nope. Told you, nekos are much different than humans."

Once we got back to my place, I took my car and got some things for Rose. I came in with the bags, only to find her fast asleep on my bed.
I just smiled. It wasn't every day that I saw how cute she was. Especially when she's asleep. I never took much time to actually notice detail. I might just do it more often...

The next morning...

I had decided not to wake her and sleep in the living room. Didn't bother me. But I woke up early that morning. Damn my insomnia...
Since it was nine-ish, I began making breakfast, knowing Rose would be up in a few minutes. Mom left for work already and Tom went to college. It was just me and Rose.

I was finishing up breakfast, just as I heard Rose trudge in. Right on cue.

"Mornin'," I smiled. "You hungry?"
"A little..." She replied.

I snuck a peek at her neck. It looked more swollen than yesterday. I finished the eggs and went over to her.

"Your throat sore today, babe?" I asked.
"Yeah..." She replied. "It still hurts..."
"Y'know, you don't have to eat this. I can make you some soup if it makes you feel any better. I think Jack and Felix would be more than happy to come have breakfast with us."
"You really don't mind?"

I shook my head, and she smiled. I texted the guys and they said they'd be right over. It was about ten minutes until they were over here.

"Hey, sis," Felix smiled, hugging Rose.
"Whassup, man," Jack grinned as we bro-hugged. "Ya feelin' any better today, Rose?"
"Not really... Still tired and sore..."
"Understandable. Tyler said Ethan was feelin' tha' same way."

We just sat and ate. Afterwards, I snuggled up with Rose and we fell asleep...
