Chapter 12: I Will Find You

(Rose's POV)

I woke up... Boy, did my head hurt. I went to move, only to bang my head on the top of a cage.
I looked around, only to see several other cages. Some were empty, while others had different people in it. Even a male neko! He looked about as scared as me.
I felt something on my neck, and felt a box on it. Shit... It was a shock collar.

"Are you a neko too?" the male neko asked me.
"Yeah."
"I heard female nekos are rare here. Most nekos, female or male, are moving to America, since they have more rights for nekos there. I was about to, til' I was kidnapped."
"How long have you been missing?"
"Three days. I was at the annual Brighton fair with some friends..."
"So was I!"
"Then you must be that girl Mark and Felix are looking for! Rose, right?!"
"Yeah. What's your name?"
"They're looking for me too! Rose, it's Ethan!"
"Ethan?! You're a Neko!?"
"Yeah... I'm guessing they put a shock collar on you too?"
"Yeah..."

I looked down, to also see myself in a hospital dress. I gasped. I felt so exposed...

"Why am I dressed like this?! Where are my clothes?!"
"They take all female clothes. They let the guys keep their shorts. Nothing more, nothing less. Fucking stupid, right?"
"Yeah. And you've learned this in three days?"
"Yeah. And trust me. Don't think they're gonna do only one experiment a day. They'll do as many as they want. I've had seven already."
"Do they do it as soon as you wake up?"
"More than likely. But I heard them talking about you... Saying they had 'special' experiments. I hope you'll be okay."
"Tha-"

Before I could finish, I saw a few men walk through the door. Scientists. I remember them from when I was little.
Yes, I'm not exactly Felix's sister! I was adopted. I was human when born, until I was two, when these motherfuckers took me and experimented on me and made me a neko.
I somehow escaped and met Felix and his family. He was three and found me sleeping in a cardboard box. I was still as small as a grown adult cat, but had the mind of a two year old. And so, I was adopted into the Kjellberg family.

"She's awake," one said.
"Then let's get her to the experimentation room..." said another.

I was brought to a cold room, where they forced and restrained me on a ice-cold metal table. I wanted to claw and bite the shit outta them.
I sat there for about a good ten minutes until one more person came in the door.

"Ah, Rose," he smiled. "It's good to see you again..."
"Who the hell are you," I growled.
"You don't recognize me?"
"Well, I was two. What the fuck do you think?"
"Does Alexander Hainan ring a bell?"

Memories flooded my mind. This was the bastard who did the neko experiment on me himself. I growled even louder this time.

"Good. You remember... Now onto the tests."
"I'm not doing shit for you," I stated.
"Oh, but you will..."

I saw him pull out a remote and twist the knob. Electric surges went through my body. He finally turned it off, and I had sweat running down my face.

"Next time, it'll be automated. Whenever you don't do something I ask you, you get shocked... Now that I take some time to look, your ears and tail have grown quite nicely. But what happened to your long hair?"
"Let me give you a hint. Starts with a 'c' and ends in 'ancer'."

He gave me a stern look and then took me to another room. The first day, I spent all day in a lab room. They were trying to see how strong my immune system is. Next, they were drawing blood. I was weak for the next few hours.
They didn't stop there. They tested my mental skills by making me run through a couple of mazes. After that, they finally took me back to the cage... I'd rather be in there than doing that shit.

"You okay?!" Ethan exclaimed.

I couldn't muster anything. I was too tired...

"Oh God, what did they do to you?"

I saw him pull something out of the pocket of his shorts. A phone!!

"I was able to hide it this long. Hopefully, I can get a message to Mark or Tyler."
"Tythan away..." I laughed weakly.
"Very funny..." He smiled.

I saw him turn the phone on vibrate, turning all the sound off. He had about fifteen percent left. Not much. He did get a message through to Tyler. They said they were gonna track the message and find us.

(Tyler's POV)

Mark had split us up:

Bob and Wade on the east side of town.
Him, Jack, I went North.
Marzia, Signe, and Felix went West.
And Ken, Cry, and Team Edge went South.

Jack was driving around when I suddenly got a text from Ethan!!

"JACK, STOP THE FUCKING CAR!!" I yelled.
"What is it, Tyler?!" Mark asked.
"It's Ethan!!!"
"WHAT?!" They both gasped. "What did he say?!"
"He says Rose is with him and the people who have them are at... Mayberry Science Laboratory. He also said that... Oh God..."
"What?! What is it, Tyler?!" Mark yelled. "Tell me, dammit!!"
"Those motherfucking scientists are experimenting on them..." I growled through my teeth.

Those monsters had my Ethan and Mark's girlfriend. I wasn't about to stand for this. I was gonna get Jack to track his message to where it was sent. We were gonna find them, and soon...

(Ethan's POV)

I couldn't believe what they've done to Rose so far. It's only been a week. Well, for me anyway. She's been here for four days. They've done so much shit to her already.
As I was thinking, I heard a few scientists talking about her again.

"Explain to me again," one started. "Does she have a menstrual cycle like a human or go through heat like a cat?"
"Okay, this is the last time... She has a period like a human, but isn't angry like a human would be. Instead, she's seductive like a female cat would be in heat."
"Oh... Is that gonna happen soon?"
"More than likely. She's of age. Boss said we couldn't risk doing any mental tests with her while she's in menstrual heat... That's what he calls it. Only because she doesn't need to end up becoming pregnant. Then, we can't do any tests on her, or we could possibly hurt the offspring."
"Ah. You wanna check on both Neko then?"
"Yeah. If the male is awake, let's conduct some experiments. Leave Rose be."

I immediately acted like I was asleep. I was NOT gonna go through another experiment if I didn't have to. They bought it and left. I then explained to Rose what I heard. She was confused, until she curled into a ball.

"Cramps..." She groaned. "Fuuuck..."
"Yep... You're about to be in heat..."
"No shit..."
