A few months later...
(Rose's POV)

Mark was healing just fine now. The only thing that hadn't healed was his wrist. He did snap it really bad.
We were playing a game when I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Felix. He said that he was coming over to pick me and Mark up for a day out.
I went to stand outside and see when he got here. I just talked with Tom until I saw the newspaper on the pavement near the sidewalk. I went to go pick it up...

HONK!!!!

I turned to see a car coming full speed at me. I froze.

"Move!" The driver yelled. "My brakes just broke!"

I couldn't move...

"ROSE!!" I heard Mark yell as he was running out of the door.

Tom was running with him. I felt the car hit me hard...
I flew back and my life flashed before my eyes...

(Mark's POV)

I couldn't believe my eyes. I just saw my girlfriend get hit by a car. I ran to her at the fastest speed possible.
She was covered in blood and bruises. Her ears had drooped and she wasn't moving. I held her close until the paramedics came. As well as Felix.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON," he yelled.

He ran to me and Rose. His eyes flushed with tears as he fell to his knees and sobbed. The paramedics finally had to take Rose from me and drive to the hospital. I raced there with my brother and Mom with me...

Hours later...

I waited, impatiently tapping my foot. I wanted answers, dammit!

"Kjellberg and Fischbach?"

I jumped up and looked at the doctor. I practically ran up to him.

"How is she?!"
"I'm sorry... But she's in a coma."

I felt my heart break into a million pieces. She was in a coma? I mean, I was happy she wasn't dead, but...

"C-Can I see her?" I asked.
"Yes..."

My family and Felix let me go in alone first. My heart shattered when I saw her. She was hooked up to so many machines, it was scary. There were so many bandages and a couple of casts. Even some stitches...

I planned to sit by her the entire time she was here. I didn't care if I had to get Felix or Jack to get my work from school. He would do it. Or if I have to stay from school. It was summer, after all. But I wasn't gonna leave her...

Three months later...

I still sat here. Summer was almost over. She still wasn't awake. I wouldn't move from her side. I heard my mom come in...

"Mark?"
"Yeah, Mom?"
"The doctors just asked me... Do you just wanna go ahead and pull-"
"I'm not pulling her off!!! Why would you ask me that?! You know my answer would be no!"

Why would she ask me to pull the plug?! This is my girlfriend we're talking about!!

"It's just that they said she had a 50/50 chance of waking up..."
"I don't care! I wanna be with her until the end, Mom! And not when someone else wants to pull the plug! I'm not gonna let you guys!! I-"

I heard slight coughing. I looked over and saw Rose's ears and eyes twitching. She was waking up.

"Fifty-Fifty, my ass," I growled.

I saw her eyes open. She looked over at me with a smile.

"Mark?" She whispered.

I just hugged her tightly, petting her hair and ears while rubbing her back. I had to be careful with her, though. She was still injured, after all. Then, we saw the doctor come in.

"Mar- Oh!! Miss Rose!! You're awake!"
"What is it, doc?" I asked.
"Um... May I talk to you for a second?"

I walked out in the hall and closed the door. I got chills as I waited for what he was gonna say.

"Yes?"
"It's about Rose..."
"What's the matter, doc?!"
"We were running tests... And there's something we found..."

He handed me a sheet of paper, and I skimmed through until I saw a word in big, bold letters...

It was like Dad all over again. I felt my chest pain and tears come to my eyes. I began to run, not caring where I went. I finally made my way to the men's room and cried... I just broke down and cried my heart out until my brother came in, tired from running.

"Bro, what the hel-" he began, but stopped when he saw me crying and shaking. "What's going on?"

He saw the paper in my hand and took it. After reading it, he gasped and hugged me tightly, beginning to cry with me. How was I supposed to tell her? Or Mom?
For the next twenty minutes or so, me and Thomas just saw there and cried together. The reason why we were getting so upset is because the big, bold word was...
