Warning: I was only thirteen when i started writing this fic back in 2017, the writing wasn't great and there were moments when i blatantly copied some things off the goblet of fire, i will rewrite this fanfiction once i work out the story and when i'm satisfied with the plot. Thanks for reading!

"May we catch pixies together, Father?" A tiny blonde child squealed with delight, pulling at her father's sleeve. Cornish pixies flew over the tranquil village of Ardington, intrigued by the towering, mahogany manor that loomed behind the small girl and her father.

"Now, now, Evangeline, they must be on their way." The father replied gently, occasionally checking his wristwatch. His auburn hair almost covered his pale, freckled face, which was tinged with enthusiasm. Then, he straightened his posture and drew his daughter to his side, pointing at a dark mass that Evangeline couldn't see, but as they came closer, she comprehended what her father was saying.

They have arrived.

Six handsome chestnut mares trotted gracefully to the manor's cobblestone entrance, dragging a gleaming silver carriage. The rubies, emeralds, and jade imprinted on the door highlighted its grandeur, giving it an aura of wizard nobility, as the carriage was evidently created by goblins.

Evangeline's father, unable to restrain himself, dashed to the carriage door and hurriedly opened it, despite the presence of a footman.

He escorted a stunningly beautiful lady out of the carriage with his hand. Her hair fell to her ankles like molten gold, her legs were so long she might be a model for witch weekly, and her eyes were so blue they could penetrate your soul. "Oh Kendric, how wonderful it is to finally be here" She said alluringly, captivating Kendric Macmillian with every word she spoke. "Likewise, Esmelda" He said warmly as he assisted two others out the carriage.

"This must be little Evangeline" She smiled, peering down at the little girl. While her glistening white smile shone, her eyes didn't share the same warmth. They were cold and forbidding, sending shivers down the little girl's spine.

"Come meet your siblings, little one" The woman said softly "Bridgette! Miles! Come here"

Two children, seemingly of the same age, hurried towards their mother.

"Hello there! I'm Bridgette Yaxley, Mother said we are to be sisters now, I am really delighted," chattered a tiny brunette, her emerald green eyes beaming with delight. "That's my brother Miles, he's a genuine twit, but we'll get along all fine," she said gleefully, then pointed to the small child looking bleakly at the mansion.

"Don't call your brother names" Said Esmelda sharply "That is not very lady like, what are you, a muggle?"

Bridgette looked down in shame. "No mama, I'm a pureblood"

"Then behave like one," Esmelda retorted, her once-glistening smile changing to a slight scowl.

"Come now everyone!" Said Kendric happily "Ritzy has prepared us a wonderful lunch! We don't want our shephard's pie to get cold, now do we?"

Evangeline became shattered.

Broken.

As if she was made of glass
