The storm had blown itself out the following morning, The ceiling in the great hall rather gloomy and dark grey clouds were swirling over the students seated in the great hall.

Evangeline sat at the Gryffindor table beside her best friend, Helen.

"How was your summer?" Helen asked while stuffing her mouth with toast

"Terrible" Evangeline shook her head "I'm so glad Ernie's family is going to let me stay for the summer"

"I told you Ev, you're more than welcome to stay for the summer" Helen said

"Sorry, I don't really want to be a burden to your family, I'm better off staying at my cousin's" Sighed Evangeline, tracing her finger on the rim of her teacup

"You're not a burden" Helen said sternly

"Actually, i kind of am" Evangeline sighed sadly

"Evangeline, you're anything but a burden, my family would be honored to let you stay at our home" Helen said sharply

"Helen, I would love to stay but I already contacted Ernie's family" Evangeline frowned "And it would be rude to cancel on them"

Helen rolled her eyes.

"Okay okay, fine" Helen huffed, grabbing a scone and stuffing it in her mouth

There was a sudden rustling noise above them, and a hundred owls came soaring through the open windows, carrying the morning mail.

Owls dropped off mail to the students, including Helen and Evangeline

"I wonder who this is from" Evangeline said, tearing the envelope.

"Dear Evangeline, thanks for the loan. From, trinade" Evangeline read aloud

She just sat there, shocked.

"Give me a minute helen" Evangeline Said hurriedly and ran to the Hufflepuff dorms as fast as she could.

She reached her dorm and opened her trunk and looked for her gringotts key, it wasn't where she put it, instead she found a small note.

Nice try

Evangeline groaned, Not only was her key stolen, her jewelry and her mother's dress robes were gone too.

It is going to be a long year for Evangeline.
