Liam was supposed to meet Y/N in the town park for the evening to take her dinner at her favorite restaurant. It had been a busy week at school and they hadn't really gotten the chance to see each other properly due to final exams for the semester.

While he waited in the park, he noticed the whole park began to light up with Christmas-themed lights; and it looked like the trail of lights made up of different routes around the town. This gave him an idea.

Liam quickly pulled out his phone and dialed Y/N's number. The tone went on and on and he was just about to hang up and text her instead, that's when she answered. "Liam, hi!" Y/N's voice sang in his ear and he couldn't help but smile at her sweet tone.
"Hi baby. So I've got an idea." he began and he could clearly hear her walking in the background of her voice, probably heading for the park.

"I'm listening." she replied with a small giggle.
"Do you see the trail of lights hanging around town?" Liam asked and she looked around her again, she had noticed it a long time ago.

"Yeah, obviously." she giggled.
"Do you see the blue ones shaped as snowflakes?" he asked her as he looked at them, he had noticed that just those lights led towards the restaurant.
"Yeah! They're pretty aren't they?" she replied absently, she's probably looking at them right now, he thought to himself.
"Follow them and you'll find me." his flirtatious voice got Y/N to frown.

"Is it a trick?" she cautioned making Liam laugh at her.

"No, you silly. Follow the lights shaped as snowflakes and you'll see me."
"Okay Liam. But if this is a trick. I'll punch you in the face." she laughed before hanging up.
Liam looked at his phone, smiling back at the screensaver. It was a photo from their first date at the same restaurant and it awoke a loving memory of her.

"I'm so, so sorry I'm late." Y/N said as she came running through door of the restaurant. She quickly tossed her coat over the chair before sitting down.
"Did you wait long for me?" she said as the waitress approached with a menu.

"No, not at all." Liam replied and she gazed at the clock. It was true, only 15 minutes late, but the sweet boy in front of her didn't seem to mind.
Once they got their food Y/N asked the waitress to snap a picture of them together. As they ate they talked mostly about things regarding school, they thought it wouldn't be wise to talk about their supernatural problems in front of a crowd.
Liam flinched and Y/N looked at him with wide eyes. "What's the matter?" she asked but he bent down to grab something that rustled from the chair next to him.
"I totally forgot to give you these." he said and handed her five red roses. She took them and noticed the number.

"Why five?"
"Five roses for the five years I've known you." he said casually.

"Oh god, you're such an hopeless romantic." she said and kissed his cheek.

It's been almost 15 minutes and Liam thought she would be there by now so he got slightly nervous when he unlocked his phone to see if he had any missed calls or messages.
None.
He locked his phone and putted it back into his pocket and then headed back towards the park. His heart started to beat incredibly fast, not only due to him running, but also from the fear that something had happened to Y/N.
The thoughts of Y/N being hurt got quickly replaced by thoughts of, 'this is so typical Y/N.' as he saw her standing in the middle of the park with a childish smile on her face, staring at the blinking centerpiece.
A sigh of relief left Liam's lungs before he approached her. She didn't even noticed him, she just started to stare at the tall buildings covered with lights. "Y/N?" Liam asked and now she flinched.

"Oh, Liam!" she exclaimed and tossed herself into his arms.
"Why didn't you follow the lights, like I said?" he asked and she blushed while looking down at the ground.

"I'm so sorry. Once I got into the park I got kinda.."
"Mesmerized?" he added and she nodded shyly.

"Well yeah, isn't it pretty?" she hummed and gestured at the view.
Liam took her chin in his hand and turned it towards him again. "Of course. But not as pretty as you are." Liam replied and stroked a lock of hair that had blown into her face as she scoffed and closed the tiny gap between their lips.

"You're such a hopeless romantic."
