I Love You

April 16th was the best day of my life. It came so naturally and unexpected, which made it ten times better. I was sixteen and remember how it went exactly. Here's what happened........

It was Friday afternoon when Helen and Gabe let Lukas sleep over. Sunny and seventy-eight degrees outside with a light gust of wind. I drove over to Lukas' house so I could take him back to my house. Getting out of the car Lukas grabbed his things and headed up to the house.

Being with Lukas and Helen and Gabe for this long, they're practically family. Lukas will sometimes call Helen and Gabe 'Mom and Dad' and will also have family dinners.

Like any other Friday Helen ordered some pizza and we watched a few movies. Later that night we switched over to playing board games. We played monopoly first, which was a bad idea, because that game literally has no end. We also played sorry and charades.

Of course it was me and Lukas against Helen and Gabe. We were a few point later behind them, they were up to ten and we had seven. I honestly didn't expect them to be this good. It was me and Lukas' turn. We had the chance to do double or nothing, so we took the chance.

The first round was good, we got points but this time is the double or nothing. I had to guess what Lukas was, tbh he sucks at acting. Why didn't he just let me do it, I suck at guessing. When Lukas pulled his card he looked me dead in the eyes "you ready?" He asked me. I just nodded in response, fixing my position, and rubbing my hands together.

When he started acting out his card, I just started shouting out random things. He held up three fingers, "ok three words" I said", first word. Lukas got up and grabbed a pillow from the couch and started thrusting his hips into it. My face turned immediately red, I knew exactly what this action was, we do it a lot.

I looked towards Helen and Gabe and they just looked at me. Total embarrassment all across my face. I finally shouted out the word "hump!" In response Lukas nodded, he then pointed to his back and got on the ground in some weird yoga pose. I was confused at first but he did all three motions together. Our time was running out and I needed to say my answer soon. Then I realized, "hump back whale!" I yelled.

"Yes!!" Lukas yelled coming over to hug me. "We won! I love you!" Everyone had stopped what they were doing. "What?" I said looking at him in the eyes tears borderline of falling. He looked over at Helen and Gabe and all they we're doing was just smiling.

"I said I love you."

"Really?"

"Yea. I really do!"

"I love you too Lukas!"

I finally said tears falling down and my face buried in his neck. Our first time saying I love you to each other couldn't have been more perfect. My stomach definitely hurts after this.
