Its been two months since the whole Ryan Kane murdering thing in the town of Tívoli. Lukas and I are finally out, to people and our parents. Bo is still coming around, but is much more understanding. Gabe and Helen are still doing well, Helen is still at the office and Gabe is still taking care of the animals. School is just about over, only two more weeks.

Summer time

School is finally over, and summer is finally here. No more homework, teachers, kids, nothing. Just me and my boy all summer long. We have so much planned. Camping, water parks, road trips, just everything. Honestly can't believe our parents let us do this. But so glad that they agreed.

First up on the list, camping. I have no idea where but Lukas and his dad go often so he knows the perfect spot. As well as the do's and dont's, what to bring and what not to bring. It's a camp site called 'looking pine' I guess it a pretty nice and popular camp site, sounds like it's the only one in this small town.

"Lukas do you have everything you need?" Bo asked. "You have sleeping bags, tent, flashlights, pillows, blankets, foo-" Lukas chuckled. "Dad you don't have to go through the whole list. I've been camping before. I double checked and you know when Philip gets here he's gonna triple check." He said as he was putting everything by the front door. "Well you know, I'm just making sure you have everything you need. I want y'all to be safe." He paused and hesitated. "Speaking of being safe do-do y'all have protection?" He said shyly. "From bears yea Dad I know what to do if there is a bear." Bo looked at Lukas with a confused look. "I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about do you guys have any condoms?" He finished with his eyes closed. "Oh my gosh Dad....." Lukas began to turn bright red. "Yes. Dad. We do."

Then there was a knock at the door and Lukas ran to open it. "Philip, you could not have come at a better time." Lukas said with relief. "What did I miss?" Philip asked with a grin on his face. "Nothing" both father and son said in unison. "You ready to go?" Philip asked while picking up bags from the ground. "Yea just give me one sec." Lukas said as he ran upstairs to his bedroom.

The truck began to strip down the drive way and down the road. The windows were down and the music was loud. Nothing but the smell of summer, the fresh cut grass and the birds chirping in the trees. This is what summer is supposed to be about, the fresh air, sight seeing, and being with the one you love.

Lukas broke the silence "you ok?" He asked with concern. I looked at him with a small smile on my face and nodded. I Grabbed his hand I was holding and kissed it to reassure him. He continued with the half hour drive we had left.

We finally pull into the campsite and it's already starting to get crowded. As I saw other campers setting up their area I sat up and spoke. "Are you sure we'll have a spot?" Lukas respondes "yea we have a spot, I reserved it months ago." He said smiling. I looked at him "what do you mean months ago? How did you know we were going here?" I asked him with a half grin. He didn't answer but he did smile.

We pulled into our spot and started to unload the truck, but I became awestruck when I saw we were right next to the water with a waterfall nonetheless. Seeing how the sun glistened off the water making it shimmer, seeing how clear my reflection was in the lake. This was something you see in a movie. In that moment everything felt perfect.

Lukas swiftly grabbed Philip's Polaroid from the truck and took a picture. "Hey, what are you doing?" Philip said when he turned around. "I'm doing what you always do" He replied as he pulled the picture from the bottom. "Turned out pretty nice don't you think? Maybe I should take up photography too!" Lukas laughed out. "I'll be the judge of that." Philip said as he took the picture from Lukas' hands. "This is really good". He uttered, pecking a kiss on Lukas' cheek.

The time was now five o' clock and it was still a blazing 97 degrees outside. Some campers swimming in the lake, and some others starting their barbecue. Lukas and I just watching everyone swinging in our hammock. "I love you" Lukas whispered in my ear as he was twirling my hair in his fingers. "I love you too." I replied. This was honestly the best summer ever. Sometimes I think back if I still was in the city with my mom this never would of happened. Not the Ryan Kane thing, not Helen and Gabe, my mom would still be alive, and especially not the love of my life right now. The whole situation was a mess. But that is finally done and over with. I still think about my mom daily all the time. I am finally content with my life, I have great parents, the best boyfriend, what else could be better?

Lukas finally started dinner, burgers tonight, he knows me so well. While he was doing that I went back to the tent to grab drinks. "Where did you get that?" Lukas asked while I was pouring a bottle of wine. "Gabe let me take it. Of course not telling Helen. We made it our secret." I replied with a slight smile.

"Gabe is awesome" Lukas said with a smile while firing up the grill.

We began to eat our dinner and the sun started to set. We had small conversation nothing too important but it was ours. This was our summer and nothing could change that.

I'm back!!! It's been forever so sorry for the delay. I plan on writing more and updating more as well. Thank y'all so much for sticking around it is very much appreciated.
