Phil sighed, stretching back in the office chair and taking off his headphones, yawning. It was one in the morning and Dan was out, Phil editing his new video. It was usual for Dan to be this late; however Phil couldn't help but worry. He hadn't heard from Dan all night. He'd ignored Phil's calls and texts, and Phil didn't know how much longer he could stay awake.
Dan stumbled outside, looking around. He was lost, and drunk. Not a good combination. He fumbled with his phone, trying find Phil's number. He sniffed, clicking call and hoping he'd answer. His hands were shaking and people were giving him strange looks.
Phil's phone buzzed from the sofa, rolling back in his chair and picking it up, seeing it was Dan. Phil grinned, answering his phone after unlocking.
"Hello?" He said quietly, fumbling with his thumb in front of his lips.
"P-PHIL! H-Help, I’m lost. P-Please help me! I don't know where I am, Lindsey left me for another bloke, and I-I don't k-know w-what to d-do!!" Dan whimpered down the phone, wiping some of the tears. He slid down the brick wall, sitting on the floor shaking. "H-Help! I-I'm scared!" He croaked out.
"Hey, hey, calm down Dan. Do you know where you are roughly? What's the street?" Phil asked calmly, not wanting to freak Dan out and show he was worried. The elder male stood up, walking running down the flights of stairs to his shoes, slipping them on before grabbing his coat and keys.
"Um, you know that club near Starbucks? The f-far one?" I
Dan asked, looking around for street signs but not finding any. "P-Please come soon." He whispered, biting his lip anxiously.
Phil nodded, leaving the house and running down the street.
"I know where you are. Stay right there." He said quietly, keeping Dan on the line.
"Haha what's a little fag like you doing here." Dan heard someone say to his right, shielding his arms in fear.
"Danny? Dan talk to me please." Phil gasped in air as he ran down the street, turning and taking a short cut through an alleyway.
After the brute left, leaving Dan with two bruises on his arm, he realized that his phone was still on. He let out a muffled cry through the speaker.
Phil had moved the phone from his ear, running as fast as he could through the streets of London. He stopped right outside Starbucks, looking around for the club lights. He spotted them, putting his phone back against his ear. "I’m almost there."
Dan bit his lip, chewing on it as he looked around for Phil.
"H-Hurry." He choked out, holding his knees against his chest protectively.
Phil nodded, forgetting Dan couldn't see him. He turned the corner of the club, spotting Dan and running straight up to him.
"Hey." Phil whispered, kneeling down next to him.
"P-Phil? I-Is that you?" Dan whispered quietly, not looking up from his knees as he rocked back and forth.
Phil nodded, kissing the top of Dan's head.
"It's me." He whispered.
Dan quickly lunged into Phil’s arm, whimpering and shaking.
"I g-got dumped. I w-wanna go home Phil!" Dan sobbed into his shoulder.
"Hey, hey it's okay. We can go home now." Phil whispered, rubbing Dan's back. "Come on."
Dan shakily stood up with the help of Phil, staggering to his feet since he was still drunk. The walk home was quiet, but nice. Once they got home, Dan walked to the sofa, hugging a pillow tightly and staring at Phil.
Phil stared back at Dan, watching him before sighing.
"Is there anything you would like? A drink? Food?" He asked, however keeping his distance.
"A hug?" The younger one croaked out, looking pleadingly into his eyes.
Phil giggled slightly, nodding as he walked over to Dan, stretching out his arms. He enveloped Dan into a warm embrace, closing his eyes as he took in the younger's scent.
Dan smiled widely, snuggling his head into Phil's shoulder lovingly. He pulled apart, staring into the older one's beautiful blue eyes which he would never get tired of looking into.
Phil chewed on his lower lip, knocking his forehead against Dan's.
"Hey." He smiled.
"Hi there." Dan chuckled, moving his hands up to cup Phil's face as they both simultaneously leaned in.
Phil pressed his lips softly to Dan's keeping them there for a moment before pulling back.
"Promise me you won't get lost again."
"I won't anymore, you'll always be by my side to help me with my useless navigating skills, right?"
Phil nodded.
"Always."
