Chapter 7

Once Blake left, the rest of team RWBY was shocked at her outburst. You kinda just sat there silently. Weiss was the first to speak. " I can't believe it! A member of the White Fang right under our noses," she says, shock and indignation heavy in her voice.

" Former member," you say. The girls look at you. " Blake has no ties with them currently. She and I left together."

You explain the situation with Phantom Lord and show them your tattoo. Weiss snaps. " Wonderful! How about we just start letting in more criminals into the school?! Because that's what this place needs."

Standing up, you pull your sleeve down over your tattoo. " So now," you say, " I am going to look for Blake. I personally don't care if you guys come with me. But I'm going to find her before she does something stupid."

Ruby and Yang agree to come with you, but Weiss refuses. Before you can lose your temper, Ruby loses hers. " Right now Weiss, you don't have a choice. We're going to look for her and find her. Then we'll hear things from her perspective."

Before Weiss can say anything else, Ruby adds, " And that's not me asking as a friend. That's me that telling you as team leader."

You wander the city in vain trying to find her. Blake's always been good at avoiding detection. On the way, you answer Ruby and Yangs questions about the White Fang and Phantom Lord. It gets irritating, but they deserve answers. If nothing else, you appreciate the fact that they're willing to listen.

Eventually, Ruby accuses Weiss of not helping. Like always, Weiss has a condescending remark about how the police could help look. When you glare at her, she tries to play it off. " What," she asks. " It was just an idea."

" You have a lot of those," you say angrily. " But if we're listing unhelpful ideas, how about I kick your ass?"

Before you two can argue, Yang places a hand on your chest. " This isn't helping us find Blake," she states calmly.

Ruby decides that right now, having you and Weiss in the same place isn't a good idea. So, she takes Weiss and leaves you with Yang. As the two of you wander the city, you ask, " What do you make of this? The whole me and Blake are former members of the White Fang situation."

She shrugs. " Honestly I don't know what too make of it. It's a lot to take in. I just want to hear what Blake has to say about all of this. If I can just understand her better, then it'll make more sense."

" And does what I have to say make sense," you ask.

" It kinda does. I mean it's hard to believe you were raised by a Dragon Grim. And that you joined Phantom Lord. But if you really meant what you said about trying to do better than I trust that. But I just need to know. What exactly is your relationship with Blake?"

" She's my best friend," you say. " After Metallicana left me, I was alone. Until the Belladonnas took me in. And Blake did a lot for me. She taught me how to read, and write. And how to cook. Even in Phantom Lord she looked out for me. Us humans were treated as disposable, but she made sure I had enough to get by. Yeah, she's quiet and moody sometimes. But beneath all that is a sweet girl, with the best heart out of anyone I know."

" You're in love with her aren't you," Yang asks. You nod. " Does she know how you feel?

There's an explosion down at the docks. " Hold that thought," you say.

The two of you get on Yangs motorcycle and speed down to the docks, to see a giant mech( Authors Note: I'd say robot, but that'd be wrong. Mech is the term for a piloted machine. Robot is the term for a machine that moves on its own.) Blake is there, and so is the monkey Faunus that winked at her.

Dozens of White Fang members and Bulldogs are in the area. The rest of team RWBY arrives to the scene. " Right then," you say. " This is new."

Before you can leap at the mech, Ruby puts her hand in front of you. " I need you to deal with the White Fang soldiers and Bulldogs. My team will handle the robot."( A/n: in the narration it will be called a mech but someone like Ruby would just call it a robot I think.)

You open your mouth to protest, but she cuts you off. " It's not that you aren't strong. But even though you're an honorary member of Team RWBY, we haven't had time to incorporate you into our fighting style. And besides we can't handle the robot and all the White Fang members."

She's right. You swallow your pride and start taking down White Fang members, alongside the monkey Faunus, who introduces himself as Sun. You begrudgingly admit to yourself that he handles himself well in a fight. Even with weapons as complex as nunchuck guns.

Eventually, team RWBY takes down the mech. You and Sun join them, and watch as Weiss and Blake come to an agreement. You can't help but smile. Blake's found herself a good group of friends. Sun rattles on about how cool it was, and you resist the urge to throttle him. You keep reminding yourself that he found Blake and kept her save.

Back at the dorms, there's a sort of awkward silence. No one wants to talk about the White Fang, and yet there doesn't seem likes there's much else to talk about. Eventually you speak first. " Hey Blake. I'm really glad you're okay."

She smiles at you. " Yeah. Me too."
