Short Story #12

*Laurence's p.o.v.*

'Is everything ready ?' Derrick , Aaron's father asked.

'Let me check ,' I looked down at my list. There was one box left. Performer.

'The performer isn't here yet ,' I said.

'Don't worry about them. They're coming later ,' he said. I nodded.

Right now we're helping Aaron throw his 18th birthday party. I invited the whole school since his father asked.

'He's coming !' Dante yelled.

'Everybody hide !' I yelled.

'Somebody turn off the lights !' Someone yelled. The lights turned off.

The door unlocked. The lights turned on. 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY !' We yelled. His face was shocked.

*Aaron's p.o.v *

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY !' They yelled. The whole school was here.

'What the hell ?' I asked. Everybody laughed.

There was a cake and a banner saying 'Happy 18th Aaron !'. Ballons were all over the ceiling. Ribbons and streamers.

'Happy Birthday my boy ,' dad chuckled heartily.

'Happy Birthday Aaron ,' mom smiled.

I hugged them. Still shocked. 'Thank you so much guys ,' I said.

'What about us ?' Laurence , Garroth , Dante and Travis said.

'You guys are awesome ,' I chuckled.

'Don't forget us ,' Lily said. She was with Michi , Ivy and Sasha.

'Yeah the girls did the ribbons and stuff ,' Travis said.

'Thank you guys so much oh my god ,' I said.

'Let's get this party started !' Laurence yelled.
'Wooh !' Everybody yelled. Music started playing. There were tables of food.

'Enjoy the party son ,' dad said. 'No alcohol kids !' He yelled. Mom and I laughed.

I went over to the gang. 'Happy birthday man !' Dante said. He handed me a cup of punch.

'You guys are the best. Holy crap ,' I said.

'I know ,' Travis said. I punched him playfully in the arm.

'Fucking loser ,' I chuckled. They all laughed.

'Hey. Hey. You just said I was the best. I was just confirming it ,' he said.

'There's fries , buffalo wings , burgers , pizza , tacos . Eveything ,' Garroth said.

'There's even ice cream sundaes ,' Laurence said.

'You guys arranged all this ?' I asked.

'Not really. Your parents did but they asked us what you'd like ,' Dante said.

'You guys are awesome ,'I said.

Someone grabbed my hand. 'Hey ,' it was Lily. She bit her lip. 'Wanna dance ?' She asked.

'Actually I need to call someone first ,' I said.

'Oh. Okay ,' she went away.

'Dude what the heck ?' Laurence asked.

'Lily. The hottest girl in our grade asked to dance with you. Go do it ,' Dante said.

'I'm not interested in Lily. 'I said.
