Short Story #4 (pt.2)

*Aphmau's p.o.v.*

I drove to my mom's bar. The Dirty Robber.

I went in with Alina in her stroller. Mom saw me and gasped. 'Sweetheart ,' she came over and hugged me. I hugged her back.

'Hi mom ,' I kissed her cheek.

'Oh you look great. And is this baby Alina. 'She cooed at Alina. 'She's more adorable than the day she was born .'

I picked her up and handed her to mom. Alina smiled.

'I heard the news ,' she said. I sighed.

'I did too ,' I said. 'Dad and I'm pretty sure everybody is working on the case .'

'Sweetie. They will do anything for you. They want to keep you safe ,' Mom said.

'What if it's not me he's after ? What if he's after Aaron ? Or Alina ? ' I frowned. Mom placed her hand on my cheek.

'Sweetie. You are so strong. You and Aaron are prepared if he does come after you ,' she said. I nodded.

'I guess you're going to see him after you leave ?' She asked. I nodded.

'And dad , Korsak and Jin. I haven't seen them since I had Alina ,' I said.

'They ordered a bunch of food. Do you want to send if over to them ?' She asked.

'Yeah. That would be nice ,' I said.

Mom saw the expression on my face. 'Everything's going to be alright sweetheart ,' She said. I smiled and hugged her. Kissing Alina on the cheek.

'Miss Divine. The food for your husband is ready ,' One of the waitess said.
She nodded.

'I'll come back later ,' I said to mom. She nodded.
'Bye sweetie ,' she said. I got Alina and left.

I went to the department. I haven't been in here for quite a while.

'Miss Divine. Nice to see you again ,' Marco said. I nodded.

I went in the elevator. 'Excited to see daddy ?' I asked Alina. She smiled.

I walked out and into the divisyen. Korsak was the first to see me.

'Aphmau ! Amazing to see you again !' He hugged me. I hugged him back.

'Hello Korsak ! So nice to see you again ,' I said. He kissed me on my cheek.

Aaron saw me . His stressed expression soften. He put his stuff down and walked over.

'Is this Alina ?' Korsak asked.

'Yes. Do you want to hold her ?' I asked.

'Aph. Private ,' Aarom said. I nodded.

'Here ,' he held her. She smiled.

'Uncle Korsak ,' I said. He chuckled. Aaron and I went into one of the private meeting rooms.

'What are you doing here ?' He asked snaking his arms around my hips.

I blushed and smiled. 'Here to see my husband of course. And to deliver food ,' I said.

'You didn't have to come here you know ,' he said. I pecked his lips.

'I wanted to. It is my job after all ,'  I said.

'You're adorable ,' he said. I smiled and blushed.

'Come on. Let's go outside ,' he said. I nodded. We went out. Nicole was there.

'Nicole !' I hugged her.
