It had been four days since Liam took me to his thinking place. He had been on my mind ever since. I have no idea why. I couldn't focus in class because he was all I could think about. Even now, as I'm walking home, he's on my mind.

"Samantha, right?" I turned around and a man stood behind me. He looked to be around 27 maybe older. He had dark brown hair that was slicked back into a bun. With the sun hitting down on him his hair appeared to be greasy. He was tall probably about 6 foot. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a plain black t-shirt.

"Yes..." How did he know my name? I've never seen this man before.

"You're even more pretty than he described." Who's he? Who is this man?

"Who are you?" He smirked. Then he laughed. Why is he laughing? It was then that I realized this is the man who was talking to Liam in they alley. Knowing that I got scared. This man could be dangerous. He sounded sketchy in the alley and right now he was creeping me out.

"That is not important. I need you to pass on a message for me. Tell your little boyfriend that he has 48 hours until we take things into our own hands. Got it?" I nodded and he walked away. What did that mean? I had no idea and all I wanted to do was get to the safety of my house before I called Liam.

Normally I'm a fast walker in general, but when I'm scared I end up doing a weird half run half walk thing and it's faster than speed walking. I had made it home in three minutes, when I was at least another eight minutes away. Once inside I locked the door and immediately called Liam.

He answered on the third ring,"Hello?" I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, still being shaken up by my encounter with the weird man.

"I need you to come to my house right now." My voice was panicked and I was hoping that he couldn't tell because I didn't want to come off as weak. But to my dismay he noticed something was off.

"Are you alright kitten?" His nickname for me calmed me down a little bit but not enough.

"Just get here." And with that I hung up. I double checked to make sure the door was locked and I waited for Liam to show up.

It took him 12 minutes and exactly 53 seconds from the time I hung up to the time he rang my doorbell. But who's counting? Being a little more calm than I was ten minutes ago, I opened the door and Liam stormed right in.

"Are you okay?" That was the first thing that he said to me when he stepped inside. He frantically searched my body for any type of harm. When he didn't find any he looked up at my face and asked the same questions he had thirty seconds ago.

"I was walking home from school and this man came up to me. At first I just thought he was someone new to town looking for directions, but then he said my name. At this point red flags go off in my head because I hadn't recognized him. Then it hit me, he was the one you were talking to in that alley. He told me to give you a message." I paused for a moment to look up at his face, as I had not looked at him while retelling what had happened less than thirty minutes ago. He looked worried, panicked even. As if me talking to this man was life or death. "He told me to tell you that you have 48 hours until they take things into their own hands. What does that mean? And who is they?"

He didn't answer me. He paced back and forth. He looked as if he was contemplating what to do. Which he probably was.

"As you know, I'm in a gang and I cost my boss some money. They've been pestering me about paying it off and I just don't have the money. It meant I have 48 hours to pay them back or things will get dangerous."

"How much do you owe?" I was hesitant to ask, but considering I was the one that they approached I think I deserve to know more. I just hoped that he wouldn't get mad at me for asking.
