Chapter 11: Fast Forward

It's been about three weeks since I was taken and put in the hospital. Liam has been taking care of me a lot. I'm still staying at Nick's place. Liam kind of has been too as he falls asleep here most nights. We've gotten a lot closer as well. I have no idea what we are as he hasn't officially asked me out yet. We kiss and we act like a couple but we aren't official. Hayden has been over everyday after school to bring me my missing work as I haven't been to school yet. We've gotten closer too. She has honestly become like my best friend these past few weeks.

Her and Nick have gotten much closer as well. She told me one day that they were hanging out at her house and she said that one thing led to another and they slept together. She told me that it was a in the moment type of thing. After that Nick told her that he liked her and they are now dating. Wow they became official before Liam and I.

The doctor said that I had to stay off my feet while I recovered but he said it would be good if I tried walking or standing with my help so my muscles don't go into atrophy. That's what I'm currently doing. Liam is helping me with it all. He tells me that I can stop if it hurts but that's all that it does. It hurts every time we do this so I don't tell him because I don't want him to worry. He's been beating himself up for letting me get hurt and I keep telling him it's not his fault.

"Are you hurting?" Liam asks this about ten times, every time we do this.

"No, now stop asking or I'll punch you."

"I like it when you're feisty kitten." That earned him a elbow to the side. He put me back on the bed as we had done enough.

"Hey Liam, can I ask you a question?" He sat down on the bed across from me. He put his hand in mine.

"Of course. What is it?"

"What are we? Like we act like we are together but we aren't official or anything." I felt stupid for asking but I couldn't take the question back.

"I didn't know we needed a label. I just figured we were together. But if that's what you want then, Samantha Rose, will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled like an idiot when those words left his mouth.

"Hmm I need to think about it first." I teased Liam. He just laughed and leaned in for a kiss.

Once he pulled away to catch his breath I decided to give him a real answer, "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend."

There was a knock on the door and Hayden walked in holding more homework. I was actually getting it all done considering all I could do was lay in bed. It was kind of hard to understand but luckily the teachers give notes with it all so I can eventually understand it.

"Hey Hayden."

"Hi, so in English we have a project that we just started and you're my partner. I can explain it to you later though."

"Okay, sounds good. I'm pretty sure Nick isn't here right now just so you know."

"Oh I know. He told me earlier at school he wouldn't be here. I just came to drop these off and then I have to go back home. My parents said they have something they wanted to discuss with me so. I'll see you tomorrow."

She left after that and it was once again just me and Liam. I was getting tired and felt like taking a nap.

"I think I'm going to take a nap, I'm tired." Liam nodded and told me he would be out in the living room waiting for Nick to return. He left and closed the door and shortly after I fell asleep.

I was walking in an alley. It was dark and cold. All I could see was whatever the moon light hit. I heard footsteps coming from behind me but when I turned around there was nobody there. I turned back around to continue walking when a man was in front of me. It was too dark to see his face. The man raised his arm and pointed a gun at me. He pulled the trigger and a loud bang went off.
