"What?" I shout.
"What do you mean, 'what?' I just said your going to boarding school, it's quite clear." Phill states.
"But I don't want to go to boarding school!" I exclaim. "They serve what they call porridge which I am 99% sure is actually barf! And what about Hero? I can't just leave him here. He's just a colt."
"What do you expect? You can't just not go to school. You need a proper education. Plus, I just found out that you can board horses at this school and get riding lessons. I heard the instructor is a former professional eventer." Aunty Amy adds.
"So I can take Hero?" I perk up a little.
"He's to young. It's not like you can ride him so there's no point. But you can still get lessons." Phill says.
"Ok. When do we leave?" I say.
"In two weeks." Aunty Amy replies.
I walk to my room feeling low. Georgie sees me. "What's wrong with you?" She asks.
"I have to go to boarding school." I manage.
"Oh, that will be fun! We can like hang out together all the time and live in the same house sort of thing and..." Georgie raved.
"Um Georgie?"
"Yeah Stacey?"
"We're already together all the time and live in the same house, remember? I moved in like a whole year ago." I say sarcastically.
"Oh yeah, I remember. Have you spoken to Thomas lately?" Georgie asks.
"No I haven't." I say ashamed. I haven't spoken to him in less then a year and I miss him so much.
"Stacey! Georgie! Where are you? Ah, there you are. I just got a phone call. Thomas is coming back to the farm to stay again." Aunty Amy says joyfully. She smiles at us and I get a nudge in the arm from Georgie. "Hope your boyfriend still remembers you," she whispered.
I knew this was a joke but I worried that that would be the case. Had Thomas forgotten me because I certainly hadn't forgotten about him. I was so love sick. Every time I went into town I couldn't dare look at another boy the same way as she looked at Thomas. His long brown locks and his magnetising green eyes and his crooked nose. I just hope he still feels the same way as me. After all it had been a year sines we had last talked and I was the one telling him to go away. No stop, this was all to awful to this.
