The first day of a new school is always terrifying but luckily for Georgie, she already knew everyone. Well most people. You could easily tell who the cool kids were. The girls had their school skirts hemmed way above their knees and the boys with their stylish hair cuts.

"Good morning class. Today we have a new student joining us this term. Stacey Helen. Would you please stand Stacey." The teacher called me up.

"For the love of god!" I mutter to Georgie. She just laughs at me though.

"So Stacey is a boarder here and I expect you all to make her feel welcomed." The teacher said. I sat down without hesitation.

"What's the teacher's name?" I ask Georgie.

"Mrs Gillum." She replies. After what seems like ten billion years of maths the bell rings and we are dismissed to our next class. I left the room in a hurry trying to avoid bumping into as many people as I could. I got so embarrassed when mrs Gillum came over to check my work.

"Oh wow! We have another extremely smart student in our class." She said out loud. The whole class looks at me and I just stay quiet. Later on in the lesson we had to break off into groups. I was put in the most advanced group which was full of nerds. We sit in a circle when someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see who it was.

"Oh, hi Luke. Are you in this group?" I ask surprised.

"Yeah." He says.

Lesson two was bound to get better, we had art. But nope, it was theory. There was a groan from the class but the art teacher hushed us. "The theory is just as fun as the practical." She said.

After a whole day of torturous subjects school had ended. Anna and I walk into our room together and I collapse onto my bed. I was just dozing off when I hear a knock on the door. Georgie walks in.

"You can't go to sleep Stacey! You have your riding lesson. Remember?" She says. I jump off my bed and go put my jodhpurs on. "Follow me, I'll show you where to go." She says. I follow her to the other side of the school.

We see a lady with a beautiful chestnut on a lead rope. She sees us and waves. We walk over to her. "Ah, one of you girls must be Stacey. I'm Steph. The riding instructor here at this school." She says.
"Yeah, that's me." I say. "This is my sister Georgie."
"Cool. You must be twins then?" Steph says.
"Um no, we're half sisters." Georgie says. "I've got to go Stacey. See you at dinner." She says, and with that she jogs off.
"So, Stacey. Should we go get a horse for you?" She asked. I nod and we walk to the school stables.
"So, how long have you been riding and what do you know already." Steph asks me.
"Um... I've been riding for just about a year now. My friend taught me the basics. Walk, trot and then I started to canter but then he broke his leg so my dad has taught me to do a little bit of jumping but not much." I say.
"Ok. So you already know the basics. I think I will put you on either LuLu or Ally." Steph tells me. It turns out that the school stables were pretty cool. Nothing fancy but it was still pretty cool. The first stall we walked into was Ally. She was a beautiful strawberry roan mare. Her personality seemed sweet and gentle.
"She's 14.3 hands high. A good hight for you. You'd be perfect together." Steph says. Ally nuzzled me and started using me as a scratching post. I giggle. "I think see likes you." She says.
We walk to the next stall to find a very tall horse. He was a pie lad. "And this is the one and only LuLu." Steph says. He started to trot on the spot out of pure excitement.
"He's a real character this one." Steph says. As if to prove this he started to try and push me over as if it were a game of some sort.
"LuLu! Be gentle!" Steph tells him off. "So who do you want? Ally or LuLu?"
This was a hard thing to decide. I loved the gentle nature of Ally and her strawberry roan colour. But, I also loved LuLu's goofy character and the fact that he was a beautiful pie lad.
"I think I will choose..."

Authors note
Cliff hanger! Hahaha. I am so evil! Comment who you think she will choose.
