3. New Home

I sit down for a little break in the kitchen. It's been about three weeks since I've been working here now. Takkie made me permanent after the first week when she felt that I was good  at my new job.

I take out my lunch which consists of a large green apple and mango juice, I love mango juice. As I'm eating Takkie walks in to carry out more pastries to the front. She looks as tired as I feel, this passing week has been a hectic one. I get up after finishing my lunch and get back to work.

Ding! That is the first thing I hear as soon as I walk out into the cafe's dinning area. I look up and see a new customer taking a seat by the booth closest to the window. We always have regular customers here so its a surprise seeing someone new. Putting on a polite smile, I make my way to the handsome and rich looking man. He's wearing a navy blue three-piece suit that consists of his trousers, the jacket and a waistcoat, with a matching navy tie around the collar of his crispy white shirt- I love a man in a suit.

"Hello. Welcome to café granules, here's the menu. May I get you anything to drink?", I greet while placing the menu on the table in front of him. He mumbles that he would like a large coffee without pulling his eyes away from his phone. I rush off to prepare his order before coming back with a large mug of coffee on a tray. I place the coffee on his table with the sugar sachets and a smaller cup of warm milk. "Do you know what you would like to order, sir?", I ask, taking out my little notebook from the pocket in the apron around my waist.

"Uh yes. I would like Eggs and Bacon with sausage and two slices of toasted bread.", he states, still not having looked up at me. I write down his order.

"Brown or white bread?", I ask.

"White.", he answers and finally looks up at me. Oh my gahsh the man is handsome, his dark blue eyes just make me think of how movies portray the galaxy and his lips are so pink they look as if he put lipstick on. His dark hair is combed neatly but there is a strand that falls onto his face.  He smiles and I blush at the embarrassment of being caught staring at him.

"Is that all?", I ask after clearing my throat. He nods with a knowing look in his eyes. "Your order will he ready in about 10 minutes.", I inform him before walking into the kitchen and giving Takkie the order. As she's busy making the food I walk to the counter and serve customers that are here to buy takeaways.

"Order's up!", I hear her voice from the kitchen before going in to take the food and take it to the hot man's table.

"Here you go.", I say, placing his food in front of him. "Enjoy your meal." I turn to walk away.

"Excuse me.", I turn back to face him, raising my eyebrow in curiosity as to why he called me back. "May I know your name?"

"Uhm... My name is Tevan, Sir." I say, blushing hard from his stare. "Is there anything else you need?"

"No that'll be all." he goes back to elegantly eating his breakfast. I walk back to the counter and continue serving other customers.

It's been a week since hotness came in here for breakfast. I guess he was just passing by because he hasn't come back. Why am I even thinking about him, it's not like he would like a guy like me, that's if he's even into guys.

I make my way home after closing up the café. I'll be getting my first paycheck at the end of this week and I plan on finding a small cheap apartment to stay in so I can give Jack his much needed space in his apartment. I have been looking online for a place that's near the café but they are mostly expensive. I'll keep on looking, maybe there is a place I can afford somewhere that's not as close but not so far either.
