A deep sigh slips out my mouth as I fall back onto the old black sofa I bought from a pawn shop. I look around my apartment with pride, everything is now in place; a small flatscreen tv, glass coffee table and one long black sofa in the lounge. Upstairs I have a double bed and a small table by the window so I can do my art there.
I started moving in yesterday. Jack wasn't happy about me moving out, but he understands that I need my own space and he helped me move in before leaving just an hour ago. He got a call from a friend and they are going to hang out.
I have a full day off since it's sunday, so I plan to go grocery shopping. Then I'll come back and relax in my new place. After taking a long and warm shower I grab my loose dark blue straight cut jeans with a large white long sleeved v-neck and black converse. I grab my keys and head out to walk to the nearby shopping complex.
The supermarket is void of crowds, probably because it is Sunday. My cart is full as I go to the toiletry isle to get my green apple scented shampoo. I love the smell of green apples on me, so much so that I even bought a female body spray that's green apple scented. The smell just calms me, plus I smell sweet. I'm dragged out of my thoughts by the feel of my cart bumping into someone else's cart.
Freaking out embarrassment, I quickly stumble upon my words as I apologize to the other person without seeing their face, they were facing the shelf. The tall man- about just an inch shorter than me- turns to look at me. My breath catches in my throat, it's Mr. hottness from a week ago at the café.
He smiles a genuine smile, "No no no. Don't worry about it, accidents happen. Just be carefull next time... Tevan " oh my gahsh he remembers my name, what the hell he remembers me. I quickly remove myself from my thoughts and apologise one more time before moving around him to leave. "My name is Steven by the way.", he calls out as I'm walking away. I turn my head in his direction and smile.
"Nice to meet you." I say before walking on to the checkout counter. The old lady at the counter smiled at me as she tilled my stuff. I took out money to pay when she was done but a hand came and handed her a card before I could pay. I glared at the hand and its owner, Steven. I take the grocery and push the cart outside, he follows me.
With anger, I whirl around and glare at him while pulling out my wallet and taking out the money I was gonna pay with. I extended my hand out to him. He looks at my hand like I offended him, well he offended me first. "No, keep it.", he says pushing my hand away.
"Well, I could have paid for my own things. I'm not a charity case." I say, shoving the money in his hand and walking away. I took out my phone to call a cab since the baggage was too much to carry on my own. "Shit!", I exclaim as my phone starts acting up and shuts down. Now I have to walk all the way home.
"I can give you a ride." Urgh! Why is he still here? I grit my teeth in irritation, but I need a ride. Rolling my eyes, I sigh and let him help me with the bags to his- what the fuck? I stumble and stop, my mouth gaping. It's a fucking Limousine.
"Is that y-your c-car?", I ask in amazement. How rich is he. Is he a celebrity that I know nothing of? I am still gaping at the transport when he pulls me towards it with a chuckle. As we get closer, a man in his late forties climbs out from the driver's door and hold the passenger door open for us after he packed my stuff in the trunk. The inside is literally a luxurious lounge, with brown leather seats and brown wood compartments. There's a TV screen on each side of the car, it is beautiful.
"-live?", I zone back in and stare at Steven, dumbfounded.
"Huh?" is my intelligent answer. He smiles and repeats his question.
