The next morning, I found myself in the bed. Wrapped up in the blanket, and... I won't continue.
"You're awake. Breakfast tyo?"
"Richard... What happend last night?"
"Huh? Hinde mo naalala?"
I shook my head.
"We had--"
"Ok, stop!"
Then he started laughing.
"Why on earth are you laughing? I'm serious!"
"Magtatanong ka tas patitigilin mo ko?"
Then he laughed, again.
"Stop it! Pwede ba?"
"Okay. I'm sorry. Let's eat breakfast na?"
"Richard, mahuhuli tyo ng girlfriend mo. And besides, ayaw ko sa mga playboy na tulad mo."
"But you just had--"
"Don't say that! Kung ayaw mo kong tantanan, ako na mismo ang iiwas syo. I'm sorry..."
I left the room without saying any last words. I promised to myself that I will never come near him nor talk to him. Never, as in NEVER. After a week, we went back to the Philippines. I wished I could've had stayed in Hawaii, so I can live peacefully. But atlese I'm finally in my home. Then I suddenly remembered... Coleen is married, and she left me in this big house. Ngayon napaisip ako, How will I turn my life upside down? How can I change my life? These questions never left my mind until then. After a few days... I realized that madalas na ko nagsusuka, nagugutom until I finally decided to go to the doctor to make it official. A few tests were tried then the doctor had to talk with me.
"Congrats, Ms. Mendoza! You should be expecting a baby in 8 months!"
The doctor said.
"Teka, you're telling me that I'm--"
"Yes, you are pregant, Ms. Mendoza!"
She happily said. I thanked her and went back home. How will I raise this baby if I don't even know how? Great. This messed up my life, and now I don't know what to do. I decided to call my ate Nikki who is an expert in taking care of infants.
"Wow. You're really pregnant. Akala ko ba break na kyo ni Jake?"
"We are. Hinde si Jake and tatay nyan."
"Then who?"
"I can't tell you. Kilala kita eh, hahanapin mo lng ung tatay ng anak ko."
"Why? Wala ba syang karapatan na malaman toh?"
"Wala, dahil hinde ko sya kaano-ano--"
"Maine, sya ang tatay ng anak mo and he needs to know!"
"He doesn't have to know kasi hinde nya naman din toh pahahalagaan!".
