9:50 PM.
Maine was on the bed, thinking of possibilities that might happen to them. Richard finished putting Gab to bed, then he came back and looked at Maine. He went beside her and hugged her from the back.
"Maine, ano ung iniisip mo?"
"Wala."
"Sige... Napatulog ko na si Gab."
"Di pa rin ako makapaniwala."
"Huh?"
"Di parin ako makapaniwala na nangyayare tong mga bagay na to."
"But are you happy with it? Are you happy with your life? Your life with me?"
"Oo naman.."
Then she faced him.
"Sa tingin mo, kailan ako matatanggap ng pamilya mo? Ng mama mo? Kasi tingin ko, wala pang isang buwan, hindi rin magtatagal, wala na ko dito."
"Hmmm? Paano mo nasabi yan?"
"Once na mapuno ung mommy mo, papalayasin nya ako dito."
"Hindi naman ganon si mama. Overprotective lang talaga sya."
"Pero do you think na magiging mabuting nanay ako kay Gab? Just like your mother to you."
"Oo naman. You will be a great mother to our son, believe me. But don't end up like my mama, masyadong OA at overprotective."
"I'll try."
Richard sighed then kissed Maine's head.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Richard was suprised. Its the first time he heard Maine saying that to him. He smiled then whispered.
"Thank you God."
Then he fell asleep. 3:00 AM, Maine was woked up by Gab's noise. She sighed and stood up, she proceeded to Gab's crib then carried him.
"Are you hungry?"
He continued crying. Maine walked towards their couch and breast feed him. Richard woke up and realized that Maine wasn't beside him.
"Maine?"
He sat up and saw Maine on their couch, feeding Gab.
"Hey..."
"Ay, sorry... Did Gab wake you up? Sorry kung naistorbo ung tulog mo. Nagutom kasi eh."
"Hindi. Ano ka ba?"
He stood up and sat beside her.
"Gab, wag masyadong matakaw ah. Baka sa sobrang inom mo, maging big boy ka agad. Tsaka baka maubos agad ang milk ni mommy."
He said while caressing Gab back.
"Huy, ang sama mo sakin. Hindi naman ako ganon ka-flat ah."
"Joke lang."
"Inaantok pa ko..."
Richard placed his arm around Maine's shoulder and let her lean on his shoulder.
"Matulog ka muna, kung gusto mo. I'll keep an eye on Gab."
"I'll keep an eye on Gab? Baka mamaya, ikaw na ung nadyan."
He scatched his head.
"Baka nga..."
"Hoy, Joke lng un."
"Sabi ko nga."
Gab pulled away and yawned. He fell asleep.
"Richard? Pwede bang itabi natin si Gab sa kama?"
"Oo naman. Tara na..."
