Dinner out

It took 10 minutes for Eli to get ready. Jesse had given him an orange collared shirt and some dress pants as well as some nicer shoes. The girls took 30 minutes. In that time Jesse called for a car to be sent so it would arrive right at 7:00 along with another phone call when the girls finished changing. Eli wondered if Jesse knew it would take them that long.

"Introducing Alex and Trixie!" Alex announced as she strutted out in a purple blouse and a pink skirt, with a little white belt around her waist. She had put her hair into a french braid that moves around her head with the end resting on her shoulder. Trixie had a forest green A-line dress that had a small orange belt around the waist and black flats.

"Wow." Eli breathed. It had been a while since he had gotten dressed up and he couldn't remember if he had ever seen Trixie in a dress before now. But both looked beautiful.

Jesse looked them over before giving a satisfied nod and turned towards the elevator doors, "Shall we get going?" They opened and the group walked into the elevator and started the descent down.

"So you lived on the surface and then moved into the caverns?" Alex looked over at Eli.

"Yes... My family has been doing it for generations. We are raised on the surface and then taken down when you're considered ready. My dad said 15 for me." Eli was hesitant on giving more information but it seemed that Trixie had already told Alex some of the details of Slugterra.

"So what are they like, the caverns? For you, I mean since you lived on the surface and all," Alex was fighting and twiddling her fingers. Eli had noticed that she had a very energetic way of being that made her seem childish, but Eli knew that she could be threatening in the right situation, though she lacked experience.

"To be honest, really cool. Like the plants are like Wonderland crazy and all the different people and creatures too. We have a cave troll and Moleniod on our team." Eli was almost relieved to have someone to talk to, he hadn't gotten to fanboy over the last year since Tad had shown up.

"What's Wonderland?" Trixie seemed a little nervous, probably from being in a completely new world.

"It's a location in a story that is common up here. The world is very backwards with odd customs and crazy creatures. We have a couple copies if you want to read it or take it with you." Jesse said right as the doors opened to the main lobby of the large corporation building.

They walked across the room and out the doors towards the car waiting for them. Jesse opened the back door and the girls got in followed by Eli, he closed the door and got into the passenger seat. They all buckled their seat belts as the car pulled into traffic.

"We're here for the Creed reservation." Trixie was looking around in awe. Just seeing the sky had been a sensory overload for her but going to a fancy place like this before, most places in Slugterra were run down bars or quick dining places. No matter where you went you never saw anything like this unless you hired bodyguards and had millions of gold to spend.

They walked into the restaurant, following the waitress towards a table with a couple already seated with menus. There were already Two people seated at the table. The two both had similar traits as Jesse and Alex, the woman had bold red hair and a slender figure, she wore a knee-length royal blue dress with a matching purple shawl. The man beside her, at the head of the table, wore a dark gray suit with a white shirt and blue tie to match his wife's. His hair was more a dirty blond that was shorter with a current hair hairstyle that fit him.
