Erika POV
What does the term obsessed mean?
Is it when all you can do is think about the thing, all day and all night, every waking moment?
Is it when whenever you see that thing hour breath catches in your throat and you get shivers down your spine and your vision is rimmed with black?
If that's the definition of obsessed, then I am obsessed with Alexander Lightwood.
Everything he does is just perfect. The way he smiles when he thinks of something funny in his head, the way that when he talks, he makes everything sound important.
The sad thing for me is, he really, really loves Magnus Bane.
So I pretend to not like Alec in the romantic sense. Magnus knows, of course, and watches me. But I behave perfectly.
It's taking me all I have.
Alec POV
"I am sooooo bored of this place," Magnus groans. He is making the lights in my room turn different colors, that's how desperate he is. He turns and screams into my pillow.
I shrug. "We could plan the wedding."
He sits up. "We could, but Izzy made me promise not to."
I stand up. I really need to talk to him about something important, but first we need to get out if the Institute. This isn't the right place.
"Well, this isn't prison. We're allowed to leave, we just have to come back."
Magnus raises an eyebrow. "Okay, so. . ."
"So," I say, taking his hand and pulling him towards the door, "let's go on a date. I owe you."
He smiles, shakes his head, then follows me out of the door.
Once we get outside, I lead Magnus to an alleyway a few blocks away. "Make a Portal," I instruct.
"Why?"
"I'm not telling you, just do it."
After he does, I take his hand and pull him through. We find ourselves in a little patch of forest. There are birds chirping, and a little wooden shack is stationed by a creek.
Magnus is breathless. "What is this?"
I smile proudly. "This is my hideout," I explain. "I found it after we broke up. I was wandering around in a state of shock when I found this place. It's deserted, and right outside of Manhattan. I go here whenever I'm upset. It calms me down."
I point to the shack. "I have some food in there and a makeshift bed, so I can stay overnight. It's really peaceful. Nobody knows about it except you."
Magnus's mouth is hanging open. "A-Alexander," he stammers, "this is amazing."
I blush. Nobody can make me feel special like him. I pull him into a kiss. "Well Mags, now it's our hideout."
We just stand there for a moment, taking each other in. I can still hardly believe that my first relationship turned out like this. Not many people find the person they absolutely click with, but I know I have. And it's the best feeling in the world.
Finally, I giggle and pull Magnus towards the shack. We pull out the meager food stash I have, then sit on my makeshift bed sheets by the creek. We talk about nothing, just being here is enough.
Well, it's almost enough. Because now I have to ask him.
"Magnus?" I interrupt him in the middle of his sentence.
"Yeah? What is it?" His mouth is full of food at the moment, so it sounds like ya, wa id ig.
I clear my throat nervously. "Well, the reason I brought you here wasn't just for a date. I actually have to ask you something."
"How do you feel on kids?"
To be continued...

He wants kids! :)I think I've based Erika off of us fangirls, because let's face it: we are all obsessed over Alec Lightwood.
I will be updating the sequel chapter soon!
